| Relient K – Softer To Me Lyrics | 19 years ago |
| ok well i would say this this "fight" is a little petty but i cant help but to be drawn into it. i love christian rock music and i reallllly like secular rock stuff too with exception of green day and other wanna be bands but i like relient k because of their type of music and the way it sounds and sometimes the lyrics. it kind of anoys me when i hear be my escape on kiss fm or some other secular radio station because the people who arent christians dont really get the meaning like us christians in my opion. but its good its there... ok well i think i was just rambling so i am gonna stop now... | |

| Showbread – Dinosaur Bones Lyrics | 19 years ago |
|
this is posted on showbread.net Dinosaur Bones: This song is about finding a purpose and adhering to it despite complications in the process. For our band, the bones are just a tool that God uses to speak through about the love of Jesus, regardless of what happens to “art” and “music” the purpose doesn’t change, and the voice continues to speak. This song was written just days before we left for the studio as a result of stress and complications surfacing from writing the record and facing all the business aspects of being a band. |

| Showbread – George Romero will be at our Wedding Lyrics | 19 years ago |
|
this is posted on showbread.net George Romero Will Be At Our Wedding: A love story that takes place within George Romero’s “Living Dead” films in which a man is searching for his estranged wife in a post apocalyptic world overrun by reanimated corpses. Just as he is completely overcome with grief and the fear that he has lost his beloved forever, he vomits and finds his wife’s wedding ring and the remnants of her fingers in his upchuck. He reluctantly recalls devouring her, and realizes that he himself is dead and has been for quite some time. Though his wife is dead, and though he has committed an unspeakable sin against her, she was killed by her own husband; their love is so powerful that she conquers death in order to be with him, forgiving his transgressions with no hesitation. “If I speak in the tongues of men and of angels, but have not love, I am only a resounding gong or a clanging cymbal. If I have the gift of prophecy and can fathom all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have a faith that can move mountains, but have not love, I am nothing. If I give all I possess to the poor and surrender my body to the flames, but have not love, I gain nothing.” “Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.” “Love never fails. But where there are prophecies, they will cease; where there are tongues, they will be stilled; where there is knowledge, it will pass away. For we know in part and we prophesy in part, but when perfection comes, the imperfect disappears. When I was a child, I talked like a child, I thought like a child, I reasoned like a child. When I became a man, I put childish ways behind me. Now we see but a poor reflection as in a mirror; then we shall see face to face. Now I know in part; then I shall know fully, even as I am fully known.” “And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love” -1 Corinthians 13 Wrote the main guitar riff after listening to a lot of Nirvana and Everclear, the main synth riff heard throughout the verses was developed by JG and myself at practice and the Misfit’s type pre-chorus came together naturally. |

on showbread.net this is posted Your Owls Are Hooting: This is a love song about a girl that was created and selected specifically by God himself. | Showbread – Pachycephalosaurus Lyrics | 19 years ago |
|
on www.showbread.net this is posted Pachycephalosaurus: The name Pachycephalosaurus means “Thick Headed Lizard” and is used to describe a species of dinosaur known for its armor-like, dome shaped skull. It was originally believed that the Pachy used its helmet head to settle domestic and territorial disputes. However, it was later concluded that the skull was not apt for this kind of battery and no evidence of scarring has been observed in fossil samples. The girl in this song however, may have taken this approach to garner the attention she craves and ward off anything that may be a threat to her selfish idea that the world revolves around her head. The music was written with an aggressive, White Zombie approach. The synth lead was later written for a distant layer to appear in the verses while recording demo’s for the track but became the focal point of the song. |

| Showbread – Naked Lunch Lyrics | 19 years ago |
|
on www.showbread.net this is posted from Showbread Naked lunch: naked lunch is a novel that William S. Burroughs wrote in the 50’s under the influence of some heavy duty drugs. In 1991, director David Cronenberg adapted the novel into a bizarre film in which an exterminator addicted to his own pesticides becomes involved in a secret government plot being orchestrated by giant bugs in an Islamic port town in Tangier. The song however has less to do with the novel and film than it does with the idea of judgment and hypocrisy. The character in the song openly voices his disgust with the idea of alcohol and psychoactive drugs, yet at the close of the second verse he concludes by ingesting bug powder to free himself from his outrage. “Out of the same mouth come praise and cursing. My brothers, this should not be.” –James 3:10 |
