Personally I think this song may be a carry on from “the river” I think it is the aftermath of domestic violence. The dads back saying please take me back you are my family my life, and at the beginning of the song I’m pretty sure she writes “oh, my wife you are my life.” Which would make more sense. Just a thought but let me know what you think. |

Well to me the song means that your finally moving on from the grieving process after getting out of a really serious relationship. Things are looking up and your starting to see all the really good opportunities out there and you life doesn’t seem to be so stuck. Compared to the last album, which is mainly about the breakup it seems quite fitting that the second is about seeing the world starting to open up in front of you. I love missy Higgins and I can’t wait for her new album!!! I think I may actually camp outside the music shop the day before its released lol |

i think that this song is all about falling in love with a girl and then it not working out in the end. I think he's sayn dat he cant be with her but he wants to love her and wants her to love him. i think the gurl dat he loves has just rejected him and hes sad its gone and he wants the love back but cant get it to work out |
