Cartel – Lose It Lyrics 18 years ago
yeah I saw them play this song live before band in a bubble too.

the fact that Cartel has busted out is kinda a let down, don't get me wrong, they deserve a lot of the attention they are getting, but I've seen them live twice and I can name off at least five artists that have more talent than they do and aren't as famous. and it's not because their music isn't as good, it's that they guys in the band aren't as marketable. like Red Jumpsuit had to get rid of some of the guys in the band before Virgin records would sign them. they were replaced by better looking, better playing guys. but it takes away from what the band was originally. the modern music market pisses me off.

Mae – Mistakes We Knew We Were Making Lyrics 19 years ago
whoa, hold on duras, that's an interesting generaliation... you said "So as all Christians do, they have pre-marital sex. Except since they're Christians, they don't use a condom (no insurance for the unthinkable). Christians obviously wouldn't have one ready, nor would they be on birth control."

um.. I'm a Christian... I wouldn't have premarital sex and condoms and birthcontrol are fine... you've got your facts mixed up... mainly, and I say mainly because I'm sure their are exceptions, but most Catholic christians have a problem with birth control in any form, Protestant chirstians, are usually fine with the idea of birth control... please research before you make generalizations about things.

and Mae isn't the type of band that tries to shove their ideas down your throat. I'm sure they want you to agree with them but they relize that it is YOUR choice. and I think that that is one of the things that make people think that christians are obnoxious... christians need to relize that they aren't any better than anyone else.. they need to thika bout what they are saying.. they are always saying that everyone is a sinner... well if that's true then they arent' any better then anyone else... no ones perfect.. that's why people need God. sorry about that rant I'm kinda venting from a hard day..

The Rocket Summer – Never Knew Lyrics 19 years ago
^that was a very post modernist thing to say... it's not about YOUR reality it's about what the Bryce, or anyone else you're commenting about, was thinking when they wrote the song.

Mae – Mistakes We Knew We Were Making Lyrics 19 years ago
I agree that it's about abortion.. because first they say.. "and when we try to think of the life inside we find ourselves looking at the world through new eyes." and then they say. "what can now be said oh little one on the other side, dance until the band stops playing, sing with all your might." I think that they are saying that while it might be uncomfortable to have an "unwanted" baby that it''s not right to take it's life so you can have a fun one...

The Red Jumpsuit Apparatus – Grim Goodbye Lyrics 19 years ago
at least a few of the guys if not all of them in Red Jumpsuit are Christians. I think that this song is about straying from God and how you think you can make it on your own and you build up your own life but then it fall down. "jerico falls around me and I feel like I've strayed too long."
also "don't take what's infront of me, open eyes can see I have everything." can refer to although it looks like he doesn't have much. the mere fact that he has God makes him have everything..
also after he sings "killing me softly." someone starts sayign things in the background and i listened really carefully and it's actually from the Bible. Ecclesiastes 7:3-9 ... so that explains a lot to if you read the verses...

Copeland – No One Really Wins Lyrics 19 years ago
I have heard that this song is about gays in the Church. and it makes sense... his Heart wants to welcome them in to church but his mind want to drive them away.. his pride thinks that they don't deserve God but grace is telling him that they need God more...

Copeland – That Awful Memory Of Yours Lyrics 19 years ago
I know that the guys in Copeland are christians... I think that this song is about how God forgives and forgets.. "and all our confessing forgotten every word we're saying from the womb." this could have been a time when Aaron felt like he was getting away from God but then he knew that God would forgive him and welcome him back, hence the whole "welcome home."
