Thriving Ivory – Hey Lady Lyrics 17 years ago
I think that the girl thinks that there's so much more out there and she's giving up on the guy because she doesn't think that he's what she really wants and needs. But he's trying to tell her that he can be whatever she wants him to be.

Thriving Ivory – Angels on the Moon (Album version) Lyrics 17 years ago
Taking a slightly different approach to this, it almost sounds to me like he's found someone who is so amazing that he's noticing things in mundane life that he hasn't seen before and that person is teaching him to appreciate life, the good and the bad.

Making April – Hurry Up And Wait Lyrics 18 years ago
I think this song is talking about a person who made choices and has ended up in a place with another person and doesn't know what to do now. He's waiting for some sort of indication of what he's supposed to do now, but until then, he's too unsure of his situation to do anything.

The Last Goodnight – Pictures of You Lyrics 18 years ago
I kind of get a 'how did we get here from there' sort of vibe from it. It almost seems like, considering the person's past, where they have reached now doesn't fit, and no matter how hard they try, they can't get things to change to what, in their opinion, should have happened. And no matter where this person goes, there's always something to remind them of all of it.

That's just my take on it though.

Hanson – Broken Angel Lyrics 18 years ago
Something about this song makes me think of being held back, either by yourself or by someone else, and having no one but yourself to overcome it. But in the end, he takes a chance, but it doesn't work and he ends up not making it.

That's just my take on it, though.

Hanson – The Walk Lyrics 18 years ago
I don't really see anyhting about God in this, but I'm not really religious, so I'm probably not the best one to ask.

As I see it, the tightrope is metaphorical for life and path you are following. You've got to take chances and maybe you will fall off, but you'll never know until you try. You don't know where you'll end up once you get across, but at least you're going somewhere.

Looking at it now, I can kind of see where you are getting the religious stuff. Hmm.

Hanson – Love Song Lyrics 18 years ago
This was one of those songs that the first time I heard it, it kind of threw me off. Not because it doesn't sound like most of Hanson's music or because it's bad, just because it wasn't really what I was expecting.

With that said, it's not bad. I love Ike's voice in it. He sings with such depth, it's hard not to like it. The lyrics are a bit week at some points, in particular, the chorus. It sounds good, but I think that with all their talent, they could have done a bit better.

The message behind the song is pretty clear, though. Basically, in the words of someone (I forget who and can't be bothered to look it up): 'It is better to have loved and lost, than to never have loved at all.'

Hanson – Great Divide Lyrics 18 years ago
I think that everyone can relate to this song in a way. I think that this song is about getting past a difficulty that arises.

I like how, in the video, they show the situations in Africa. We could solve a lot of problems if we just went over there (and if we stayed here) and helped out those who don't have as much as we do.

Hanson – Been There Before Lyrics 18 years ago
I agree, but I also think that it's about going back to a place where, for example, you grew up or the place you were happiest.

Amazing song.

Placebo – Running Up That Hill (Kate Bush cover) Lyrics 19 years ago
The first time I heard this song was during a stage performance of 'The Outsiders' during the part where Johnny killed the Socs.

I swear, I have never cried so hard in my life.

This song is just so intense and serious. When you mix it with a scene that is also very intense and serious... well, it's scary. It's an amazing song.

The Hush Sound – Wine Red Lyrics 19 years ago
I think this song is about the something too beautiful to exist being distroyed. I think the biblical and mythological references are used to convey a large scale idea of the distruction of true beauty.

The Hush Sound – Lighthouse Lyrics 19 years ago
I think this song is about how it feels to not know where to turn for support. It's almost as if the person is walking from one disaster, in search of shelter and comfort, only to find nothing, but knowing that there has to be something out there. I love this song. It's beautiful.

The Hush Sound – Weeping Willow Lyrics 19 years ago
Going by what is written on their site, the song is about a close friend of Greta's who died of cancer and she wrote the song the night he was taken off life support. Amazing song!
