| Godspeed You! Black Emperor – Static Lyrics | 18 years ago |
Magicthighs42, I completely agree with you there. Also: "I absolutely think he's apostate because of statements like that and a few others in there, as well." Yeah I noticed how the last part was really much like an apostate, but how did the eariler part of his speech sounds like a good preach about what happens in "rebirth". As a Christian myself, I don't although agree what he says. The old 'me' doesn't die. It's the sinner 'me', and with each battle against the devil (temptation for something, for example) the old 'me' is trying to push itself out to live on as me. But yeah, it's definately one of Godspeed You! Black Emperor's most eerie songs. I mostly enjoy the first segment, Terrible Canyons Of Static, and the second one, Atomic Clock. |

"The preacher man says its the end of time and the Mississippi River she's a going dry. The interest is up and the stock markets down and you only get mugged if you go downtown" From Hank Williams "A Country Boy Can Survive". So, Blaise Bailey Finnegan III is ripping off...AGAIN! :D |

| Yeah it's Barco am/pm not Arco. Damnit. | |
| Godspeed You! Black Emperor – East Hastings Lyrics | 18 years ago |
| You can hear someone singing in a quite forced whispery voice just in the breakdown right before the clean guitars start. He's singing the exact same melody. | |
| Godspeed You! Black Emperor – Sleep Lyrics | 18 years ago |
Sorry my bad it wasn't this song where the singing was. It was in East Hastings. I noticed the gruntin in this one too, btw |
| Godspeed You! Black Emperor – Antennas to Heaven Lyrics | 18 years ago |
| Does that dude sing in I. Moya Sings "Baby-o" something like "Stick my fingers in the baby's ass" or does he say eyes? | |
| Godspeed You! Black Emperor – Sleep Lyrics | 18 years ago |
"During the part after the first climax when theres a whole lot of repitition, you can actually hear a guy grunting in the background if you listen closely. Scared the crap out of me the first time i heard it." He's singing something like a suggestion of what could have been added there. I think. But the bottom line is that he's singing there. |

| Isis – Gentle Time Lyrics | 19 years ago |
| Walrus, Mosquito Control is ISIS' first release, actually. Then followed The Red Sea (Very much of the HC type music than what ISIS is now). THEN came Celestial. | |
| Zao – American Sheets On The Deathbed Lyrics | 19 years ago |
| Oh man I totally forgot what Dan said in the vid. But it's simple to notice when you think about the lyrics more deeper than just read them once. | |
| Zao – American Sheets On The Deathbed Lyrics | 19 years ago |
Dan's not a communist. I think it's just about what Satan H8er said. |

| Oh, and Ghada. That verse that you are looking for is also the first verse. Check. | |
| Dimmu Borgir – The Insight and the Catharsis Lyrics | 19 years ago |
| When I was a dimmu fan this was a great song. It could still be. Unless they had a stupid image and a constand way of making songs. | |
| Zao – Savannah Lyrics | 19 years ago |
"Are you saying christians don't view porn? God knows I do" Christians don't view porn, if they are about obeying God. If you said in a church "I watch porn" People wouldn't shock about it only because you do so, but if you claim to be a Christian. Self-righteousness is burning bridges. |
| Zao – Pudgy Young Blondes With Lobotomy Eyes Lyrics | 19 years ago |
Exactly. Girls who want to be "beautiful". They make themselves at thick as a toothpick. "Worship MTV" I think this has got something to do with being like the popular people. Looking like them. Still, same topic. Just makes me pissed off actually. But everything will burn, so we'll just need to wait, when. Peace! |

| Zao – Everything You Love Will Soon Fly Away Lyrics | 19 years ago |
Today earlier when I was sitting in the Pentecostal church, listening to out beloved youth-pastor preach with Matthew's in The Bible. Matthew 6:19-21 "Do not collect yourselves treasures on earth, where moths and rust rapes and where thieves break in and steal. But collect yourselves treasures to Heaven, where moths nor rust rape, or thieves break in or steal. Because where your tresure is, there is your heart." I think ZAO got some inspiration from this one. It's obivious why, so I won't even tell ya. Read the quote and think for yourselves. Thanks! Peace and Love! |

| Zao – Kingdom Of Thieves Lyrics | 19 years ago |
| Even if Dan was a native American, he still could say what a pile of shit the system and the people are. | |
| Zao – It's Hard Not To Shake With A Gun In Your Mouth Lyrics | 19 years ago |
The name of this song tells an alternative meaning also. Which I think, Dan mentioned on the free sample vids on the site. What I get out of it is, that it's also about people who deny their Christianity to some and to others they say that they're Christian. You know, show-off people who wanna be friends with everybody. Not real to themselves. |
| As I Lay Dying – Behind Me Lies Another Fallen Soldier Lyrics | 19 years ago |
This song is clearly about the lyricwriter's relationship with God, as someone already stated. This song is straight praising, like ZAO's first CD. I mean, it is so damn awesome to have this kinda music. REALLY heavy and yet it's praising Jesus. WOW. One day I hope you guys are there to hear as we (our band) have made something as inspiring as this. Praising Jesus and shouting Jesus. It's awesome. God Bless. |

| The Berzerker – Pain Lyrics | 19 years ago |
No shit. So does the latest. The first album had a machine but a human came in to fill the compter's place :D The Berzerker is according to the main site, Industrial Death Metal. Riiight. No one agrees. I'd say they're Industrial Grindcore/Goregrind. |

| Mokoma – Vade Retro, Satana! Lyrics | 19 years ago |

Tämähän on ilmiselvää! :D Täyttä tilitystä saatanalle! KYLLÄ!!! Alhainen pikku paska tarvii lisää tollasta tilitystä. Venatkaas ku päästään vetämään vähä lisää tollasta lyriikkaa >:D |

| Killswitch Engage – Temple from the Within Lyrics | 19 years ago |
| Yes, Finalpoet, you're correct. This song is completely about Jesse's dedification to God, Jesus Christ. | |
| Killswitch Engage – My Last Serenade Lyrics | 19 years ago |
"they are not the greatest in the hardcore scene" Only if they were HC. They're MetalCore. Anyway, the video enhances this song's meaning for Jesse, not only burning bridges, but one other fact. In the end of the video, Jesse walks away from the film-thing, that showed the band. Hence the lyrics "This is my last serenade". It was his most clear sign of leaving the band. He had troubles with the other guys just going into clubs and bars just to get drunk and shit. Jesse had a tumor in his throat, so he had problems with doing vocals. (Poor guy) He couldn't join the drinking because he was a Christian and is, still at the moment. And even if he joined the guys, not the drinking, he would have had hard time in the cigarette smoke and the stunk-ass bar environment. God Bless |

| Killswitch Engage – A Bid Farewell Lyrics | 19 years ago |

My Last Serenade. Hmmmm. :D Jesse's legendary song before he left. I agree with your ideas people. |

| Demon Hunter – Not I Lyrics | 19 years ago |
As you can see, this song is about the final regret that non-believers are going to feel when that one day comes, when Jesus sends His angels to take the chosen ones to His home. Hence Verse I: "So now you're suffering the fallacy of what you said" People really tend to mock Jesus. They want to step Him down. They want to give Him finger and shout "F*CK YOUUUUUU" on the same, but they just can't. They're still gonna suffer from it. They're gonna choke on their words. "Sing me a new song A broken song of redemption and regret Sing me a new song And beg for all the mercy you can get" I'm not clear of what does this "Sing a new song" thing mean, but this one's about the regret. "You should regret and beg your heart out for Him to have mercy on you." Ya know. God Bless. |
| Demon Hunter – As We Wept Lyrics | 19 years ago |
| Yeah. It's about us having to fight for Jesus. If someone mocks Him, we're to stand up for Him. That's one way to fight for Him. | |
| Demon Hunter – The Science of Lies Lyrics | 19 years ago |
True. Scientology, I mean. Xenu the tough little space-invader blew up 22 million people on a volcano, and that's how we got born? Oh and we've got evil Tetans on us, BEWARE!!! Go to the local scientologists' and buy an auditititition casette, only for 100.000$, fellas!! It's stupid. And it's funny since Tom Cruise and John Travolta are scientologists, and guess why :D |
| Demon Hunter – Deteriorate Lyrics | 19 years ago |
Both theories link to the song, Gods Kid and Velrex. I'd say Velrex' idea is like quoting Jesus, but not quoting Him. More like saying His thoughts. |
| Demon Hunter – A Broken Upper Hand Lyrics | 19 years ago |
Like Mokoma - Vade Retro, Satana! A Finnish band trashing to satan. The singer's like bashing his screams "Painu pois tieltäni, sinä saatana. Painu tuonelaan, sinä saatana!" Meaning "Get out of my way, you satan! Bugger-off into hell, you satan!" :D |
| Haste the Day – Breaking My Own Heart Lyrics | 19 years ago |
I love this song. I mean, the vocal melodies are so awesome. It's oppressive with it's sadness, 'cause I think there's something personal to it with me. TheGreatDane, you're right. |
| Haste the Day – The Last Goodbye Lyrics | 19 years ago |
"All I want is you" is incorrect. It's "All I wanted, was you" This just brings back a memory when I had a slight crush on a girl who I still think, is the most beautiful girl I've ever seen. This song just made me long for her more and more. So much I wanted to say those words to her. "All I wanted, was you". But, it's past now. I think it's pretty much like my personal adventure. Including SnowBeast2005's thoughts: Saying the last goodbye to a girl who you've been running back to many times. God Bless, people! |
| Haste the Day – The Dry Season Lyrics | 19 years ago |
I think it refers to a part of The Bible, where there is a Dry Season, when fields dry out, people are almost dying everywhere, then water just came flooding from the skies after prayers. So then the fields grew again and people were saved from dehydration and starvation. My thought. If this happened in The Bible. Haven't read so much yet. |
| Zao – 5 Year Winter Lyrics | 19 years ago |
"the Christian God and Allah are the same god" Except that not. I am a Pentecostal Christian. Did you know that your precious Allah is an ungod? Unholy little thing. You see, "the Christian god" is Jesus Christ. The man who's known to have sacrificed himself for our sins. His mercy gave you all your life. You see, someone trustworthy, who has read parts of the Koran, has said that there's a sentence "A muslim can kill AN INFIDEL, who is not willing to turn to Allah". The Bible says "Do not kill." Do. Not. Kill. Period. Not if, not or, not doo-dah. Just "DO NOT KILL". No exceptions. Koran has these. So you're saying, that Koran that has exceptions, is the same word as Bible, that was powered by The Holy Spirit, that has no exceptions? No way. Not a single way. Back to the topic: This song is like a semi-bitter end to a relationship, which Daniel wants to forget. |
