This song is about how much they hate people who make fun of them and their music. They obviously don't realize how many people actually love them. It shows that these guys have no emotion except for anger and aggression. The music and beats themselves are mediocre at best, but they're catchy as all hell. I think they have a fairly nice fanbase (which they also make fun of) with this line: -White boys with tattoos, -We are pointing right at you, -We are breaking everything, r-rowdy like a classroom, -Panic rules, -Cause we don't follow the rules, -And when you're running your mouth, -Our razor blades come out, -Because its nothing in my mouth except my dick and what I spit, -So my dick is in my hand when I respond to faggots talking shit, -Speaking of fags, already wrap with the drag, -We killed him and then we stuffed his body in the Cadillac. TO ALL THOSE WHO SAY THAT SLIPKNOT IS NOT METAL: You are right. It is true that they are not metal - their old stuff (Slipknot, Iowa) is rapcore. The newer stuff (Subliminal Verses, All Hope is Lost) is more along the lines of a mix of hard rock and hardcore. Even though Slipknot isn't metal, it helped me FIND metal, and realize what true metal is. I have that to give to Slipknot. Slipknot really isn't that bad. Even though they have 9 members in their band, which is kinda weird, they are fairly unique. Now for this song... It is difficult to say exactly. It could be about the direction America is going, it could be about their own personal lives (they were all social outcasts in their childhood), or possibly about them preforming live during their Iowa tour. It's too ambiguous right now. |

It kind of reminds me of the Old Testament (yes...I'm reffering to the Bible) in which the Israelites people were under pagan Kings/Emperors/Pharaohs, and their hearts were on fire to get out of their oppression. However, the call (first stanza) I believe would be a prophet being called to turn the Israelites back to God so they can overcome the evil. It's a guess, and I don't know how accurate it is, but that's what I think the song means. |

Yes, they do rap in some songs even though Corey Taylor is screaming his ass off in most. The singing issue: Corey has a good rock voice, but not a good actual singing voice. His voice is good for rock, metal, and core songs, but not for actual singing. "Bother" by Stone Sour is a good example of his best vocals - they are rock vocals. If you want good vocals, listen to Blind Guardian (the older stuff), Dragonforce (I know, this band is over-played and overestimated), Hammerfall, Iced Earth, etc. Now please try not to bash each other and don't act fucking stupid and go all Malcore or some stupid shit. |

It is definitaly a "to-each-his-own" song, even though it is based off of Hamlet. What I get from this song is that the narrator of the song is feeling out of control of life. The whole world is spinning around him. All of his future is his past - he feels like the past is controlling him and controlling how he is going to act in the future.
