these lyrics are kind of wrong, in quite a few places. all your fame will end here =all your pain will end here hingsight = hindsight one= ones the prime times gone = with prime time talk i have the c.d, and it has all the lyrics in the booklet. i also don't want to be one of those bitchy people who gets their thrills out of correcting people, because i don't. i just love this song, and emily haines. and i know that tinylittlewords does too, he was all over metric, and emily haines before i even got here. so as a fan like yourself, if you could just change that a little bit, we'd all be happy i think. long live "knives don't have your back". |

Not just a normal love between two people, the kind that can lead to growing old together and cause your mind to be lost in the bliss of falling into it. But it also contains a love for music, the kind that goes beyond success and the need for the next big single. This song is crafted through the finest of instruments and minds, and for this you have to appreciate it. There could be so many hidden meanings that can never be found and heard within the song because that is just the brilliance of Maria and her stunning beau. But I think myself that this is what they think a love song should sound like, a beautiful melody with no cryptic meanings or complicated phrases. It may have been a coincidence that I found this song at exactly the right time in my life, a time where I could let my heart guide my mind through every word, line and chord but ever since I’ve listened to this song for the first time, I’ve never felt such strong euphoria and general hope that some things in this world are beautiful and can’t be touched and smothered by others fingers. For me, the ugly and terrible things of the world don’t weigh as heavily when I’m listening to this song and I can sort of drift away. In whatever way this song is meant, it's absolutely wonderful. |
