No comments? It's a great song.. I see it as the singer is trying his best to stay strong.. when he sings 'but you left, so I'm leaving too', he sounds like hurting, with resentment but willing to move on too. He might have returned to his hometown or the city where they 'were still in love' and he admits that it gets to him but he desperately wants to believe that once he leaves he'll feel better and move on. The chorus, 'you can say what you want but you got it all wrong' sounds to me as the girl has been talking bout him with other people, perhaps saying that he's not over her or that she feels sorry for him, etc... but even though it may be true, he's staying strong and not coming back. |

Agree, it's an amazing song.. he realizes that loving her partner is not enough anymore, is like being with someone just because you're used to it, but knowing that things are never gonna be the way they were before and that there's not much future for them.. but still staying, because it is what he knows.. |

cant believe no one has commented on this one.. the meaning is pretty clear (or at least this is what i found), he's singing to his father basically complaining about him not being there for his family. u can get the sadness of missing him or wanting him to be there but at the same time all this anger and resentment cause he left the family("I dont want to be who you are" "Im trying to live without you").. if someone's ever been there, they'll understand exactly what this feeling is like.. great song |

I cant believe no one has commented on this song! It's one of my favorites maybe because of the lyrics, i find them relatable and amazingly true. A guy cant get over his ex, he spends his time thinking about the relationship (mostly bad stuff) and tries to convince himself that he can do much better, but still he cant get her off his mind. I love the lines:
Now, is your house that far?
I thought I'd stop and say hello.
Now, I know its not good for me,
So I drive home with my head high.
I've felt that way, and i used to say "there's nothing wrong with stopping by to say hello" and after i did it, i felt terrible. I like that the guy realizes THIS IS NOT GOOD FOR ME so now he can walk away with his "head high".
