Down Lyrics

Backyard games
Were never the same
I couldn't keep my girl
But I kept your name

I crashed my car
But I'm still alive
Oh, you should've been around
To teach me to drive

Well, I don't know much about you
I'm trying to live without you

But I just keep on falling down
When you are not around
So down and lying on the ground
Is this is a disease?
Do you ever feel like me?

I saw a picture of you
And you had a guitar
So I learned how to play
But I don't want to be who you are

My mother cries alone in her room
Two times a year
In December and June

I don't know much about you
I'm trying to live without you

But I just keep on falling down
When you are not around
So down and lying on the ground
Is this is a disease?
Do you ever feel like me?

Well, I don't know much about you
I'm trying to live without you

But I just keep on falling down
You are not around
Down, lying on the ground

I'm down when you are not around
So down and lying on the ground
Is this is a disease?
Do you ever feel like me?

Cover art for Down lyrics by Teddy Geiger

cant believe no one has commented on this one.. the meaning is pretty clear (or at least this is what i found), he's singing to his father basically complaining about him not being there for his family. u can get the sadness of missing him or wanting him to be there but at the same time all this anger and resentment cause he left the family("I dont want to be who you are" "Im trying to live without you").. if someone's ever been there, they'll understand exactly what this feeling is like.. great song
