Well.. it is 100% about pregnancy. The version that made the album "you got me" talks about pregnancy also. Adam has even said on stage that it is one of the most honest songs he ever wrote. Considering that his now wife, got pregnant just a few short months after they had been dating it would make sense. "What about your plans? They'll all get fucked up.." Directly deals with the seriousness of having a child, and being on tour and in a band making a living. "you didn't want to do it alone" Again I am sure his wife was worried that everything would be left up to her, and hence why she perhaps was considering abortion.. "Its my body boy, not your body boy" A man really has no say if a women wants a abortion, they can have one. Thats why.. "its not fair, its not fair, lets be fair.." would make sense. As far as I can tell Adam has been done with drugs for a while now. The entire band has grown up and hence why they are singing about more serious things. |
