| HIM – Temple of Love (Sisters of Mercy cover) Lyrics | 19 years ago |
|
No.... HIM would be horrible in this. I haven't heard it myself. Try soulseek or frostwire rather than limewire. Frostwire doesn't block out heaps of files like limewire and soulseek pwns. |

| London After Midnight – Kiss Lyrics | 19 years ago |
|
This song means to me the end of a relationship. It reminds me of a friend of mine's situation. "You'll never understand the meaning in the end" suggests that "the other" is not understanding that the "narrator" has cut off the relationship or is pretending to not understand. "we're standing at the gate you'll meet the darker fate" makes me think that the other is using various abusive acts mostly manipulation to keep the relationship together, but the narrator knows that the other is in the wrong. "your purity and rage, your passion and your hate" makes me think of a love/hate situations. The other has a rage and has violated the narrator in some way, then played the victim and acted like they were very sorry. "you promised more than bliss, with your god and with your kiss" the narrator feels cheated by what the other has said and also by how the other has changed the narrator during the relationship. "I'm on my knees, I beg your mercy, my soul is my loss,I'm well hung from your cross," The narrator has not the courage to stand up to the bullshit and manipulation, even though they know that it's wrong. The narrator has asked for it to stop but is being worn down by the other. "take me in your arms my love and rape me" suggests that the other has tried to rekindle the relationship through bad methods, and has eventually tried the "make-up" move. It suggests intimacy which is desired, but more strongly not wanted. "don't hide behind your rage I know you love me, and always will" suggests that the narrator wishes for the anger of the other to end, and for them to just admit that they are hurting so badly. "you're my possession, of that my love there really is no question" suggests that the narrator sees the other as a material possesion, and wants to "hoard" the other away like a possesion and not wanting to cut the strings completely. "my better half it's true has seen the darker side of you, innocence stripped away, at least I've the brighter fate..." the narrator knows the other is in the wrong and that the other is no longer innocent, and that he/she is a bad person. The narrator is leaving, and knows that he/she has a better future without the other. Sorry, my english is not too good. |

| The Cure – Just Say Yes Lyrics | 19 years ago |
| I don't like this song. I listen to it, but I don't get that warm fuzzy feeling with it that I get from other Cure songs. I don't think it should of been on Greatest Hits. | |
| Marilyn Manson – The Fall Of Adam Lyrics | 19 years ago |
|
"The Abraham Lincoln town cars arrive to dispose of our king and queen they orchestrated dramatic new scenes for Celebritarian needs" In literal terms: This is how JFK is assassinated. The "disposing" of the king and queen is pretty much JFK and Jackie-0, and how JFK was shot, also bringing Jackie-0 down from her status. The "dramatic new scenes" is referring to how this was not expected, and the action of the murder. And for "for celebritarian needs", its pretty much how he (JFK) became a more of a celebrity that before BECAUSE of his murder. Sorry if this made little sense, my english isn't too good. I'll add metaphoric translations, later, although most people have already discussed it. |

| Marilyn Manson – Down In The Park Lyrics | 19 years ago |
| I haven't decided upon which I like more. Being a real Numan/Tuebway Army fan, it would be usual to overall enjoy Numan's more. But to be honest, I have to agree with Markf. He [Manson] brought a new energy into the song and a new element which did not previously exist. | |
| Christian Death – Stairs (Uncertain Journey) Lyrics | 19 years ago |
| It is very tounge-in-cheek. Any fan of Rozz Williams work would recognise this. It is about being against religion, but in a... mocking way, almost. | |
| Orgy – Stitches Lyrics | 19 years ago |
|
I believe this is a mix of theory of the groupie and obsessed girl. I see it as a groupie who is young (the "little girl"), falling for an older man and eventually becoming terribly obssessed with him (an example in everyday life is a girl becoming obsessed with a teacher, or a mucher old man). Obviously, he's fucked her or done something sexual with her, and she does see it as something more than sex (a common situation to a lot of people). The only reference to any thing gay about it is the "seeming queer" part, which also means strange (I know it and am not english!) and is not really any grounds for any accusation for homosexuality. |

| Marilyn Manson – Use Your Fist And Not Your Mouth Lyrics | 19 years ago |
| This is possibly the worst MM song. | |
| Christian Death – The Angels (Cruciform) Lyrics | 19 years ago |
| Would "Rubella" (as in the illness) make more sense in this song, than "Rebel" | |
| Sting – Fragile Lyrics | 19 years ago |
| For his album "all this time" which I think is full of live tracks. | |
| Sting – Fragile Lyrics | 19 years ago |
| It's sad, he was set to record this the morning that the 9/11 tragedy happened. | |
| A Perfect Circle – The Noose Lyrics | 19 years ago |
|
"So glad to see you well Overcome and completely silent now" could be related biblically, such as how Christ lived after his cruxifixion, yet completely silent and unknown to many who continued to follow his ways as a religion. "With heaven's help, You cast your demons out" could be referring to the way that some people are "born again" and repent their sins and become a "whole" person with the aid of their god. "But I'm more than just a little curious How you're planning to go about Making your amends to the dead To the dead" could be about how can one simply forget their sins, and this is how people are being questioned about it., especially if one has killed or hurt another. It could also relate to how so many women were hung (the noose) or burnt in witch hunts because of what the christians put out in the old centuries, and how these sins can be forgiven because they murdered "in the eyes of god" and did it solely for their religion. That's what I've made of this song, Dubtiger is probably most certainly right, although the metaphors used in songs of his often symbolise more than one thing in more than one topic. I haven't seen the DVD unfortunately, and I can also see where a heroin addiction could come into it. |

| A Perfect Circle – Lullaby Lyrics | 19 years ago |
| No, I agree with crusty. I noticed it too, and it's very blatently there. It does put a whole new light on Pet for me, | |
| Sigur Rós – Hoppípolla (English) Lyrics | 19 years ago |
| Oh, and yes the lyrics are very accurate from what I understand. | |
| Sigur Rós – Hoppípolla (English) Lyrics | 19 years ago |
| I've grown to like Sigur Ros. Childhood, I think of. | |
| The Cure – Siamese Twins Lyrics | 19 years ago |
|
I agree with hothothot! That's what I have always interprepted it as. This song has a lot of personal meaning to me, obviously about sex. |
|
| The Cure – The Hanging Garden Lyrics | 19 years ago |
|
Ugh, stupid little pop rock bands covering excellent songs like this. It frustrates me so much, because so many kids don't know it's by the Cure originally. |
|
| The Cure – If Only Tonight We Could Sleep Lyrics | 19 years ago |

I really hate Placebo. I heard their cover of this, it's terrible. I have this song recorded live MTV unplugged. It's really beautiful. |
|
| The 69 Eyes – Lost Boys Lyrics | 19 years ago |
| Ha. I've always had a feeling that this bad are SO much alike to the Sisters of Mercy since I heard them back in '97. Jyrki69 uses his voice in a similar way to Andrew Eldritch (vocalist of SOM). I also notice that their music is quite similar, with a more metal element than SOM. And now, The Lost Boys (SOM recorded the opening track for this movie, "Cry Little Sister"). | |
| The 69 Eyes – Dance D'amour Lyrics | 19 years ago |
| Personally, I think that they could of extended the french in this song and I would probably like it a lot more. Yes, the french gives it a very romantic element IF you aren't already a longtime french speaker. The content is very romantic. I've slow-danced to this ^^! | |
| Bauhaus – Who Killed Mr. Moonlight? Lyrics | 19 years ago |
|
On the version of this song I have it says "Consider green lakes and the diary of clocks Someone shot nostalgia in the back Someone shot our innocence and all our colors have run" |
|
| Bauhaus – Who Killed Mr. Moonlight? Lyrics | 19 years ago |
|
I always thought that it was "idiocy" rather than "diary" of clocks. Yes, David J sang this and he is amazing but I still prefer Peter Murphy's voice. Maddsurgeon, you're bang on. This was on their last album before they went their seperate ways and focused on different projects. |

| Marilyn Manson – Kinderfeld Lyrics | 19 years ago |
| Sermerimoloch, I'm amazed that you're the only person who has done serious thinking and reading about this. I used to be obsessive with Marilyn Manson, yet took everything for face value. Recently I've been doing some reading about his songs and researching, and there is so much to the songs that it's almost uncomprehendable. I enjoyed reading your (fairly accurate) theory on these tracks. I'm glad someone displays some sort of intelligence without having to point out the obvious (like most above you). | |
| Marilyn Manson – Fuck Frankie Lyrics | 19 years ago |

sickonewithasmile, I was listening to Fuck Frankie the other day and I noticed it too. And I can't agree more with x___replay. |

| Marilyn Manson – Diamonds & Pollen Lyrics | 19 years ago |
