Alanis Morissette – Hands Clean [Album Version] Lyrics | 10 months ago |
Apparently this song is regarding Dave Coulier and the relationship they had... Which started when she was 17 yrs old and he was a 33yr old divorcee. |
DNCE – Cake by the Ocean Lyrics | 10 months ago |
Sounds like a guy picking up different sex workers and wanting to party and have sex on the beach. Hence all the different 'cake' flavours at the end of the song, representing different women. |
Lady GaGa – Shallow Lyrics | 5 years ago |
@[MercurialIrish:29871] I feel it may be your lack of musicality evolution, rather than other generations. Music has definitely changed and evolved. That’s just how evolution of life is, especially in our highly technological modern age. Music has evolved with technology. It’s just a different way of connecting with people, maybe just different to the way you enjoyed in a particular period of your life. I use to feel the same about music I loved in my teens and 20’s until I did some research and exposed myself to all music and music history. I mean no offence at all, it’s just a different perspective to think about. :) |
George Michael – Jesus to a Child Lyrics | 7 years ago |
A beautiful song about his love for his partner Anselmo. George wrote this song and his album Older (1996) while grieving the lost of his first true love. This song encapsulates a glimpse of the tenderness and love they shared together. Heartbreaking and devastatingly beautiful. |
The Weeknd – Can't Feel My Face Lyrics | 8 years ago |
Definitely about cocaine and the relationship with the drug as his 'mistress'. The control that Addiction has over your mind and body. The lack of will to struggle through and the willingness to give in. "We both know we can't go without it". I guess he just likes coke... "But I love it". |

The Butterfly Effect – Before They Knew Lyrics | 12 years ago |
This song personifies my early life. Growing up in a fractured family at a very young age and my decent into childhood depression at 6yr or so. I didn't know how to communicate articulately what I was feeling at that age and things just got worse. I was eternally sad and just thought that was what life was for everyone. Having suicidal thoughts and 'preying' that I might die in my sleep or wake up as someone else and have another family. The core problem being the separation of my parents. Like the song, we didn't "talk about it" and told to "not think about it". We lived on struggle street, 3 kids and a single parent. The other parent disappearing from us. Now at 32, I find myself listening to what my early life was like, in an amazing song and I thought I was the only one that could describe what it felt like. |
The Butterfly Effect – Before They Knew Lyrics | 12 years ago |
These lyrics need some correcting. Were you holding fathers hand? Did your mother bleed And understand How your whole life's slipped away? Fading under the grey Did the world around you fail? And were you hiding for us all to see? Did the world around you fail? When it all came down on me Is it dark within your mind? Does your body ache for love sometimes? Is it cold within your room? Did you pray they'd come back for you? Did the world around you fail? When it all came down on me The answer's Always here Beneath your skin Im not Coming down Does it feel like this? Sometimes When the world stops turning Long before they knew Does it feel like this? Sometimes When it all stops working Now It's alright It's alright It's alright, we dont have to think about it It's alright It's alright It's alright, we dont have to talk about it Now Now Now, We don't have to think about it Now Now Now, We don't have to talk about it, think about it Oh it's all you'll ever need And the answers always here, beneath your skin I'm not coming down Does it feel like this? Sometimes When it all stops working Long before they knew Does it feel like this Sometimes When the world stops turning around It's alright It's alright It's alright It's alright, now It's alright It's alright now It's alright |

COG – Problem, Reaction, Solution Lyrics | 14 years ago |
Correct lyrics from CD booklet: Through my heart Through my heart Through my heart Through my heart As I watched those buildings fall Saw the writing on the wall In the underground the prophets spoke of triggers for a war They’d been leaking out a plan A new world order, understand? And I stood there feeling like someone had planned it years before Years before Years before Eerie theory, fact or theory I see the game they're playing way down town, open ground Feeling like it's going to bring you down Eerie theory, fact or theory I see the game they're playing way down town, open ground Feeling like it's going to bring us down Through my heart Through my heart Through my heart Through my heart Lucitania had to go Stage was set to start the show And I heard the sound of Alice chasing rabbits down a hole Gulf of Tonkin, Vietnam Yes Franklin knew about Japan And they're laughing as they use us all to build they’re Babylon Eerie theory, fact or theory I see the game they're playing way downtown, open ground Feeling like it's going to bring you down Eerie theory, fact or theory I see the game they're playing way downtown, open ground Feeling like it's going to bring you down They use us, they use us all Laughing as we fall Laughing as we fall Laughing as we fall Laughing as Killing our heros My home town's breaking down But I'm holding out All that's certain - I am still alive My home town's breaking down But I'm holding out All that's certain - I am still alive My home town's breaking down But I'm holding out All that's certain - I am still alive People! Stand out! Stand out! Alright! Eeyay! What's left when we look around? What’s left when we’re looking, the pot and the cook, the people, the violence, the more that you look around (Do not follow if you can, When they lead us to violence) What's left when we look around? I stood back and observed the crowd I saw voodoo and violence down to a science Gurus and mind control What's left when we look around? I stood back and observed the crowd I saw voodoo and violence down to a science Gurus and mind control My home town's breaking down But I'm holding out All that's certain - I am still alive My home town's breaking down But I'm holding out All that's certain - I am still alive (Babylon, the movies on, oh what a con, King Solomon, And Babylon is here again, the movies on, this neo-con tapestry, The sun and moon, A pentagram monastery) At the end of the day I know, That we work all our lives to pay for a cage they own It ain't no coincidence that the whole world is caught in an endless debt At the end of the day I know That we work all our lives to pay for a cage they own The violence, Illusion they're using to rule us, building their Babylon |
COG – Four Walls Lyrics | 14 years ago |
Correct Lyrics from CD booklet: I'm stuck in a space Four walls In a room again But I feel safe Cause I know, where the end begins All I'm need’n, all I'm need’n, All I'm looking for is open space All I'm need’n, all I'm need’n, All I'm looking for is open space And it's natural And it leaves you with a heart that's set alight Silent, losing track of time And it speaks to all And reminds you that the world you're in is happening And we're all something more than Glass, neon and chrome Brick walls, boxed in again All I'm need’n, all I'm need’n, All I'm looking for is open space Rather be at home Rather stay alive Rather be at home So I don't die Helping me to find it Proving that we're not alone With no ritual, it'll round out all the corners you've designed Tears down the walls that keep you blind And it speaks to all And it answers all the questions you can find But, there's no mastermind I'm stuck in a space Four walls In a room again All it's leading to is the path to another way Rather be at home Rather stay alive Rather be at home So I don't die All it's leading to is the path to another way All it's leading to is the path to another way And it's not natural And it leaves you with a heart that's set alight Silent, losing track of time And it speaks to all And it takes you where it's all clear, all here It's out there I don't wanna die Stuck in a space Four walls In a room again |

Black Kids – I'm Not Gonna Teach Your Boyfriend How to Dance with You Lyrics | 15 years ago |
CORRECT LYRICS ARE: You are the girl that I've been dreaming of ever since I was a little girl. You are the girl that I've been dreaming of ever since I was a little girl. One! I'm biting my tongue. Two! He's kissin' on you. Three! Oh, why can't you see? One! Two! Three! Four! Word's on the streets and it's on the news: I'm not gonna teach him how to dance with you. He's got two left feet and he bites my moves. I'm not gonna teach him how to dance! dance! dance! dance! The second I do, I know we're gonna be through. I'm not gonna teach him how to dance with you. He don't suspect a thing. I wish he'd get a clue. I'm not gonna teach him how to dance! dance! dance! dance! You are the girl that I've been dreaming of ever since I was a little girl. You are the girl that I've been dreaming of ever since, ever since One! I'm biting my tongue. Two! He's kissin' on you. Three! Oh, why can't you see? One! Two! Three! Four! The Follow – Smashed Heart Lyrics | 16 years ago |
This is song is about sharing love, for the sake of making the world a better place. It's about the routine of life getting you down and looking at life through eyes of depression. About relationships with the one(s) you love. It's about smoking weed and getting high, that high of look at reality through carefree eyes. A sigh that this maybe as good as it gets. Maybe I'm wrong. |
