I could be wrong here, but this makes me think of someone losing their faith and feeling rejected, abandoned, ect. by god or whatever they believed in. |

I think all of these interpretatations are dead on, especially the sid and nancy thing since she was found stabbed in the bathroom. With the "Driving late at night
Psycho '78" part, I thought that was some reference to Interstate 78, which is not far from the bands hometown of Lodi, NJ. It is an extremely congested road that has another 3 car pile up on it semmingly every week. But that was before i heard the Sid and Nancy theory, which makes far more sense. |

Ok This is a great song, as is all of the Misfits' post Danzig work. True, no one can ever replace Glenn, but the Misfits are still a great band. I think you guys are being serious assholes for hating on Jerry and all that. They still make great music! That's jsut my opinion. |

This is a personal association, but I see it describing my recent graduation. The lines "We're different now/than when we started" has special signifigance in how my classmates and I have changed and grown together over the years. And "We're in the exodus" says how we are all leaving our school. I also used to think the the words were "They're harvesting these fields in autumn" which refers to how we will all be in different schools next fall. For me, "The Beautiful Side of Somewhere" is a plce where I can be in eighth grade forever. |
