ITS ABOUT THE MOVIE. IT'S PRETTY CLEAR, HE'LL PUT A KNIFE RIGHT IN HER, IN THE BATHROOM. SIMPLE ENOUGH. ABOUT THE SONG, JUST HAVE TO DOWNLOAD THE ALBUM. INSTEAD OF START TO SING, HE SAYS: "ONE MORE FUCKING TIME YOU ASSHOLE, AND YOU'RE GONNA DIE" OR SOMETHING LIKE THAT. THEN HE GOES ON WITH THE SONG.

This song is not about Sid Vicious/Nancy Spungen, nor is it about Glenn and a "fag" following him into the bathroom, nor is it about Doyle stabbing a redneck trucker in the bathroom of a truck stop (another urban-legend rumor that was prevalent in the Misfits scene "back in the day"). All it's about is the film "Psycho." Nothing more, nothing less. Glenn Danzig was a huge film buff. The very name of the band came from Marilyn Monroe's last film, and there are other references to MM in their music and album art. Their record label was Plan 9 (after the famous Ed Wood B Movie "Plan 9 from Outer Space"). "Where Eagles Dare" was another film. "Psycho '78" just refers to the setting being updated to the current day (the song was written in 1978, released in '79). The protagonist in the song is just Norman Bates, or an imitator of him; a psycho who will stab you in the bathroom. You can't read too much into Misfits songs. There's not much hidden meaning, they're generally about exactly what they say. Just good old fashioned, campy horror fun.

The songs about danzig and his troubles with anal itching hence the lyrics "you don't go in the bathroom with me" and "ill put a knife right in you I'm warning you" and the rest is just references to Vince Vaughn and sid vicious stabbing sluts.

Considering this song was recorded before Nancy Spungen's untimely death, unless Danzig is a psychic, it's not possible. I've also heard that it was about an incident with Johnny Thunders of New York Dolls. That may have come from "Horror Business" and "Trash" both referencing knives. Who knows? I'll go with the idea that it is an homage to "Psycho" and put it to rest.

it sounds like psycho the movie... but this song to me is just telling someone that you are right pissed off with them and you are tellign them to take there own shit and if they don't you will beat the fuck or even kill him.
