This song was written about Sarah Jessica Parker off Sex and the City... her and Joshua Kadison went out back in the day. Its so weird thinking about that now when I hear this song... putting a face to the name! |

I was wondering if someone was going to mention that idea (cherrycocain and dignityseizure). the first time i heard this song i thought it was about him plotting to kill either just the girl or all the people one by one (hence the table numbering). He says hes 'wrecking the evening' etc and lacing the cigarettes with nitroglycerin... and the reference to cancer as said before. he's dressed just like everyone else so people dont suspect him, and surreptitiously spikes the punch. the fact that everyone is commenting on his new confidence suggests that he was an outsider before (maybe hes felt like the girl before?) and now wants his revenge. thats always the idea i got anyway... |
