The lyric is actually "Every broken enemy will know that their enemy had to be invincible."
Excellent song, one of the best on the album imo. |

Love this song. And ColdenScence has a point...Zack is not apart of this band, so there's no sense talkin about him. I think with the Revelations album this band has fully unified as a group as apposed to the first album which was a little more rage and the second which was a little more cornell.
And anywayz, just listen to that riff under the chorus...beautiful... |

Man this song is awesome. I mean, we've only heard the acoustic version and we already know it's gonna be a killer track. It's hard to believe cornell can still write so well after writing so many songs for soundgarden, audioslave, and even his solo stuff...there's no stoppin this guy... |

this album is shapping up to be audioslave's best effort yet. |

This song is prolly my favorite by Audioslave...atm...
tom morrello can do some crazy things on that guitar of his, but beyond that Chris Cornell and his own backup vocals give the song that hypnotizing feeling. Truly a great song if there ever was one. |

Who ever said this song was about the war on terrorism? Terrorists may have nothing to do with this song. Magicmanx9 is 100% correct in his comment btw...
This song, i believe, is about America and how we don't care about another nation's strife because we have it so good. Their feeling and moral values don't matter...as long as we have a bigger bomb, nothing else matters...except for America getting what they want.
At least, that's what I think this song's sayin...but i haven't heard it yet lol. |

From the part where everything goes almost quite and Cornell gentelly whispers, "and if you don't believe the sun will rise
stand alone and greet the coming night," I knew this song was awesome. |

Great song, I can understand why ed vedder100 doesn't like the song. He is right about the droning sound. The thing, however, that makes this song great to me, and salvages the track, is Chris Cornell's lyric writing and vocals (along with morello's guitar solo). This could have used a little more stylistic direction, but a great song none the less. |

This song is awesome. A whole new Audioslave sound...though it still gives tom merrelo his time to shine (like every audioslave song...) but it is also bass drivin, which adds a great deal to the song. And does Chris Cornell's voice sound better since the first Audioslave CD? I know he quit smoking and drinking so maybe his voice is being slowly restored to its glory days lol. I like the bluesy rock of this song. |

haha, yeah, he says peccadillos, but he intentionally pauses in the middle of the word so that it sounds like pecka. That way it works on two different levels. one for "do you wanna see my sins?" and another for "do you wanna see my manhood?" great satirical song |

I agree Fishopolis...a great song. The bridge is awesome
"You take such pretty photos
When will you be worthy of our good side
Where will you be
When the cloud break
And it all takes
Just a little more than you have"
But then again, the whole song is great. Now that i know it's about cults I can see where the line "gravy brains" comes in, lol. |

the more i read everyones comments the more i realize it's about drugs. I used to think it was about a lost relationship, but really it's the love/hate for drugs. "Sick head, blackened lungs and I'm a simple selfish son" seals the arguement. |

Great song...kinda reminds me of the Superman movie that just came out. The lyrics coincide with the movie...amazing coincidence. "Superman, where have you gone?" perfect.

this song is hella depressing...love it...
reminds me of glycerine, but it has it's uniqueness as well. "Drink life as it comes, straight no chaser" has to be one of the best bush lines ever... |

This song just rocks, plain and simple. The opening lines are perfect "Tune my weaker eye, spit white, hold the world up all day
She's blue in the face again, paracetamol," i mean, come on...
I also like the lyric "suburban suicide, watching night burn amber." I guess i get the sense of what gavin means by "servents of our formulaic ways" as stated in Greedy Fly...the next song... |

I think this song should have been added near the end of Razorblade Suitcase. Certainly would have brought the speed back up. the album is too lop-sided as it is...fast songs in the begining, all the slow songs near the end. the adrenaline just drops too much. still love the album though ;). |

The science of things produced a lot of great songs, but this song is truely amazing. This song should have been more popular, but what can you do? It's the last desperate attempt from a man that wants the woman he loves back, though he screwed up big time. Fishopolis is 100% correct about the underlying guitar riff...awesome... |
