This is one of my favorite (possibly the most favorite) Yes songs. It is simply awesome! |

| Ozzy Osbourne – Suicide Solution Lyrics

In addition to the fact that this song is obviously not telling anyone to commit suicide, but even if it did, so what? As I read in a newsgroup once, "Would you eat a shit sandwich if Ozzy sang a song telling you to eat a shit sandwich"? |

Back when this song would come on the radio, I thought it was the same song as "Us and Them" by Pink Floyd. I was pretty young though. It's a great, under-played song. I agree with SomeRandomGirl, it is a very touching, albeit sad song; especially the "'till it's gone forever" part. |

Does anyone else think this song sounds a lot like "Do You Want to Know a Secret" by the Beatles? When I first heard the Sugar Ray song, I was like, "whoa, is he trying to sound like the Beatles on purpose"? |

All I can say is this: How could they go from "Hey Man Nice Shot" to this wussy song? A real travesty. |

How could no one have heard this song before? This was the song that made them famous, back in 1996. During that time, I went to PSU at the time and they'd play this song over and over on the most popular station at the time, 99.1 (which I think was called "Quck Rock"). I definately like this song much better than "Closing Time". |

Oh I heard it and I loved the loud blues melody of this song. We used to listen to this song about 11 years ago when we'd get high. We always thought the last lyric was "ziploc bag...holding my stuff" (as in his stash). |

I Laughed my ass off when I first heard it. For a while I never heard what he was saying during the "all I do is grunt...ass in the front" part, but it still made me laugh. One of the funnier songs from Soulmanure. |

| Beck – Regular Song Lyrics

Beck sang this live on an HFS radio show, which I think was called "Modern Rock Live" in the spring or summer of '96. He had first sung "Hollow Log". When he played "Regular Song", it was funny how at the end of the song he kept changing the chords and ended with a series of single notes. Right after he began talking he said something like "I couldn't figure out a way to end that song". It's got a nice melody (acoustic only), and the Beck sound. It sounds like a song that should have been on One Foot In the Grave. |

I love the irony in the two lines "walk till you're restless" and "sleep 'till you're tired". Makes me laugh every time I hear it. One Foot In the Grave is my favorite Beck album (though this song is on another previous album from 1993). Reminds me of that era when I first went to college. Then in 1996, I'd still listen to One Foot In the Grave, Stereopathetic Soulmanure, and Mellow Gold over and over, and then he came on that live radio show on HFS (Modern Rock Live, I think), where he then played this song, followed by a then-new song, "Regular Song". But basically he was there to plug his new album, Odelay. |

I miss the vinyl (I think 9") version of this song, that I heard at my friend's house sometime around 1996. The only melody in this previous version is a simple acoustic guitar. I like the way this one sounds, just so simple but powerful. Reminds me of my college days. I haven't been able to find this version ever since, and it's been 10 years since I last heard it, but I remember loving it. |
