I thought this song was intense and heavy from the first time I heard it, and when I heard the version with the extra verse, it took it to a whole new level.

Yeah, the "Remember that time" reminds me of my Italian friend, who, in the last couple weeks of her stay, would come out of nowhere and be like "Remember the time we went to the river in the middle of the night?! Or OH! Remember the time we dyed your hair bright red...?" It was adorable, and so is this song. I like the shock of the last verse, too |

This song describes that feeling you get when you know you're sad- but being sad can make you happy sometimes. Like, putting it in perspective, without the sad times, there wouldn't (comparatively) be any happiness, because you'd have nothing to base your feelings on. So the sad times bring happiness, in a way. And that's a reassuring thought. |
