so little comment on guys......this is anwesome song!! I think song is acombo of everyone's idea pretty much....but he is not dying.....it's about a guy who has held everything in and is letting it out. I a smal town/ your home town you are sheltered.... here he is breking out....having a good time running through the streets.....I think this song was just writting bout growing up and life and getting out of that shelered home town.
Anyway...

ass shaker is the smae song just a little diffrent in the music configuration/guitar riffs. I think song is pretty self-explanitory...but it's about the band's journey and how ronnie winter wanted to have a chance at music. Then he explain how he found a band twith people that have the same ambitions and goals as him. Then is the song when they say,
"Shake it, break it, get off your feet,
come dance with me and don't you fake it."
they are saying how they want people to dance around in the crowd and don't bother faking it if you don't wanna be there. Then they talk abut singin along to the music and just getting lost in having a good time. Then ronnie talks about how they want to thank the fans for supporting them to gettinq where they are today and for sharing the love for the band. And then saying how they willl never forget their fans and they'll keep us in their hearts. Then they last set of lyrics talk about how the band feels they fell they have someting to offer wiht their music that we all can share. |

I kinda agree and disagree from the comments before me. As it was stated in the 3rd comment, teddy said he wrote this after he won battle of the bands. It does make sense cause he was, "Blinded by the lights I saw reflecting in their eyes It blinded me from the sea of everybody's smiles" which talks about being on stage and you really can't see too much with the light in your face. A if it was one of your first preformances on a real stage that is something you remember. Or at least that was how it was when I was first on stage. Then i think the rest of the song could just be about pushing too far and now he has to make up for his mistakes. But that could also go along the lines of losing his virginity.
It is another fave of mine.
And is it just me but when I first listened to the song, the begining up to the secound line sound like another song from another artist like a Dashboard Confessional song. |

I enjoy the meaning behind this song but I don't like the extra guitar or base part on the line, "She'll break my heart.Break my little heart." in the secound chorus or on the lines, "Why can't it be just this once alright?" I just feel like the extra guitar sounds displaced and wrong. It kinda ruins the song. But they it was pretty amazing from a 11 year old to write. |
