Malajube – La Russe Lyrics 18 years ago
just a couple mistakes:

I tell you it's not me who's saying it
It's a bad spirit (could also be translated as feeling) [...]
A bad turn of phrase
My words fly in the direction
Of abjection
And I can't make an objection

...and just as a note, the french and francophone world has always been pretty serious about their language, so the emphasis here on not having control over the words spoken is especially meaningful. so much so that "un mal de la diction" is actually funny/very clever.

i agree with cuisinart; and could it be "summed it up," rather than "thumbed it up"?

i'm pretty sure it's "cooking hearts over the stove," not "herats," even though that's how she sings it

also, i just heard:

"Billy the Red? found a watering hole,
It's a place to lay self? safe? o'er the heads of coyotes"

but i can't get a handle on the missing line at the beginning at all.

i think its:

"Well, look out Michael, there's a note on the door,
Everybody listen, we'll be the next Omaha"

referring, possibly, to that Bright Eyes is from there and Conor Oberst has started a label--including the band Rilo Kiley, who has also referenced "Omaha's booming music scene" in one of their songs. although who knows.
