Dallas Green – Sometimes (I Wish) Lyrics 19 years ago
I'm confused.
Not many people comment on Dallas Green lyrics, his writing ability...amazing.

He writes from the heart and his voice...he sends shivers down my spine, his voice is so powerful.

This song is obviously about about a relationship he is in, and he's asking the girl, "If I wasn't so talented, rich and famous, would you still be there?"

Bright Eyes – A Perfect Sonnet Lyrics 19 years ago
But once you knew a girl and you named her Lover
And danced with her in kitchens through the greenest summer
But autumn came, she disappeared, you don't remember
Where she said she was going to

But you know that she's gone because she left you a song
That you don't want to sing

Singing, I believe that lovers should be chained together
And thrown into a fire with their songs and letters
And left there to burn
Left there to burn in their arrogance
But as for me I'm coming to my final failure
I've killed myself with changes trying to make it better
But I still ended up becoming something other
Than what I had planned to be

Bright Eyes is truly prefection.

This song makes me feel so many different feelings its unreal.

Copeland – You Have My Attention Lyrics 19 years ago
Amazing, this song truly brings tears to my eyes...it's just beautifully written.

The boy who was made for me told me one night that this was our songs, mostly because of these lines

"You have my attention
Like you’ve had all the while
Since that first day when you made my heart smile"

Now that him and I don't talk, well those lines haunt me in a way :/

Underoath – It's Dangerous Business Walking Out Your Front Door Lyrics 19 years ago
Opposite of what most believe I don’t take this song as a boyfriend introducing
his girlfriend to God. I have spent awhile thinking about this song, and re reading the lyrics to try
and come up with a story behind it that I can relate too, it’s just how I take it. Now I don't know if it's what it really means, I guess you can only
take a song and try to relate to it in your own way.

It’s Dangerous Business walking Out your Front door

I've been up at this all night long
I've been drowning in my sleep
I've prayed for your safe place
And it's time for us to leave

(He has been up all night long, thinking about what he should do, he’s sweating so much with fear,
he knows that his girlfriend has another and he can’t be without her, he’s scared because he doesn’t
want to make the wrong decision, or do an action that is to the extreme”

Time is running on empty and the gas is running out
I've decided that tonight is the night
That I set love aside
Full speed ahead this seems to be the place
I've seen this once before
Planned perfection sought in my dreams
Hoping this would take you home

(He planned out that night so well; he is driving closer to the spot that he plans on crashing his car.
He is setting his love for her aside, because in reality he loves her so much he couldn’t harm her in
anyway.)

My knuckles have turned to white
There's no turning back tonight
So kiss me one last time

(He is gripping the stirring wheel so tight his knuckles are white. He is already driving, and he is so
close to the spot. There’s no way that he can just stop, he wants her to kiss him one last time is
more like a goodbye, without letting her know what will happen.)

Around this turn where the cross will cast your shadow
The people will all gather
To remember such a day where the flames grew as high
As trees
And the world stopped for you and me

(How I take it “The Cross” will be on the side of the road and she will be visiting his death site. “
People will remember the day that a man killed himself with his girlfriend in the vehicle. Time stood
still for her and him as they crashed, time stood still for her when she had to attend his funeral. )

My knuckles have turned white
There's no turning back tonight
So hold on tight
Kiss me one last time
Shut your eyes

(Once again his knuckles turned white because of gripping the stirring wheel, he couldn’t possibly
turn around. “So Hold on Tight” is just another way to say, “So hold on tight for dear life.” One last
kiss could be their last goodbye, her last goodbye to him. What would you do if you were if your car
was about to crash? You would close your eyes)

I will now bring new meaning to the word alone
Endless nights of dreaming of life
And the days we should have spent here

(He is will be dead, leaving her alone. She’ll be haunted by dreams of him and about the times they
should have had together if he was still alive.)

Drowning in my sleep I'm drowning in my sleep

(He’s drowning in fear)

Glass shatters and comes to a halt
I thought we'd be there by now
I thought it would be so much quicker than this

(Glass shatters, the car comes to a halt. They have crashed. He thought that dying would be faster
then how he is.

Pain has never been so brilliant
I made sure you were buckled in
Now you can walk hand in hand with him

(Pain is unbearable, but when he says, “Pain has never been so brilliant” he could mean that it was so
surreal, so unreal. He can’t believe that he actually went through with his “master plan.” He made
sure she was buckled in because he realized that she meant too much to him. He couldn’t harm her
like that. He just couldn’t kill her along with himself. “Now you can walk hand in hand with him”, she
can now walk hand in hand with her other lover. She can now be with him because he is dead.)

Plain White T's – Hey There Delilah Lyrics 19 years ago
As a girl who's boyfriend is in a band I can't help but connect to this song. Yes I'll admit at first I'd somewhat brag about our great relationship and the fact that he's in a band, but over the months it caught up to me. It's hard when he goes to other states and plays shows. We never have weekend nights together, unless it's in some crowded club or venue. But after the show we'll have "us" time, we lay down and just talk about the future. I cherish those hours where we just lay around and talk and I hate the moment when he has to get back in that van and go somewhere new.

It's crazy because I do only have 2 years left of school and he's a bass player. He is also the one that reasures me about the distance between us.

The Scene Aesthetic – The Alamo is No Place for Dancing Lyrics 19 years ago
This song is simply amazing.

It pretty much explains itself.

It's about a guy who fell in love with a girl who basically based their relationship on lies. He decided to leave her because he was tired of it all and now she is begging for him to take her back and he wants to know why.

How I take the song this guy has been up all night long thinking about what he should do. He knows his girlfriend is cheating on him, and that she may love the other guy more then him. He loves this girl so much that he doesn't want to live life without her. So he comes up with this plan to crash his car with her in it. At first you take it as him killing the both of them, so they'll always be together, but then you hear the end of it when it goes "I made sure you were buckled in
Now you can walk hand in hand with him." He was drowning in heis sleep, thinking about what he was going to do, in the end he couldn't kill her. He loved her to much, and now that he is gone she can be happy with another.

Silverstein – Discovering The Waterfront Lyrics 19 years ago
This song is just full of so much emotion. I agree with everyone about it being about a broken relationship, but I don't think that the relationship ends. I agree with Garyg. How it ends with "and it's not going to change." I think he is so in love with this girl but he knows that their not meant to be and she is just killing him but he can't escape their relationship, and in a way he doesnt want to.

I just simply love this song. Silverstein is one of my favorite bands, their amazing guys and their talent is unbelieveable.
