I am able to relate to this song in an unbelievable way, and I'm probably not the only one. The lyrics seem to be open for any specific interpretation, but I see it as a man who is having trouble communicating his feelings to a woman, but is afraid of rejection (apprehensive to speak, conversation fails). He is waiting for her to give him a hint or make the first move (tear down the walls), and maybe she has toyed with him in the past (every time you turn away). Obviously he is upset about this internal conflict and apprehension to speak his mind (falling into darkness). This song is almost a cry for help, begging the woman to validate the feelings are mutual. |

the heavy riff that is around the 3 minute mark.... God does it sound fucking amazing.
The title pilgrim seems to be loosely based on the concept of a gypsy who is getting in his mind (or a witch as I interpret it). The writer may be the Pilgrim and the Witch is a woman in his life, making a reference to the mysterious concept of witches in colonial days having some sort of evil powers to control people. Could just be an allegory for how a woman can directly influence a man's thoughts. |

Such a badass riff on the guitar when Satch just rides up the frets with that intro powerchord. I had no idea what the lyrics were until I read this though, and it's a total shock. Obviously about illegal immigration from Mexico, and how terrible it is for the families who are trying to escape from their lives in Mexico. |

Man really cares for a girl, but doesn't want to stick around forever for her; but would date her in the drop of a hat if she so decided. On one hand, he is afraid of losing her, but on the other hand, he knows he has to live his life and not let her detract from it. |

This song is really powerful, outstanding lyrics about things most rappers wouldn't waste time with (like serious relationships and family). I had to read the lyrics then I actually found out the story about his nephew was true...they were extremely close, practically father/son. |
