"Some of them living, some of them dead" Just for t3gan7 I'll say it: OMG HE MUST BE TALKING ABOUT KURT IN THAT LINE! But, on a more serious note I gotta say this was a nice way to wrap up the album in a very soothing manner. |

| Milk Inc. – Walk On Water Lyrics | 18 years ago |
| A cool song with an upbeat rythm. I can't say that I'm a Milk Inc. fan considering I stumbled upon this song quite accidentally from a youtube video that incorporated it, but it is a deep love song that I fear will go very largely unnoticed by the public, or at least by SongMeanings. | |

| AFI – Love Like Winter Lyrics | 18 years ago |
|
To me this is about a romance with a man whose only previous love was violence and now hes meet a woman (and a man). "Warn your warmth to turn away Here it's December every day Press your lips to the sculptures and surely you'll stay For of sugar and ice, I am made" He's saying to the woman that there isn't an empathetic bone in his body. Your warmth should turn away because my heart is made of only cold. "She exhales vanilla lace I barely dreamt her yesterday Read the lines in the mirror through the lipstick trace "Por siempre," she said, "It seems you're somewhere far away" To his face" Can't really make total sense of this but I believe this is him awaking the next day and he misses her and the love she showed him however she says hes somewhere "far away" as in caught up in his vendettas and hate. "Love like winter Love like winter" He loves violence but its a very cold thing, especially to try to live with. "It's in the blood It's in the blood I met my love before I was born She wanted love, I taste of blood He bit my lip and drank my war from years before" His love lies in the blood, the violence. He was destined to be a violent person before he was born. She wanted to love him but he tasted of the things hed done. Now, I don't know about the "HE bit my lip..." but lip biting is usually a reference to kissing. My guess is, that the man has meet a third person, a man, who can understand him and his violent passion, and perhaps this leads to a love triangle? The chous is some confusing stuff, especially since it changes the 4th line back and forth between he and she. Probably a bisexual reference. It may not be the best theory but I believe it better than the vampire theory. |

| Anti-Flag – Anatomy Of Your Enemy Lyrics | 18 years ago |

I think if people really used there brains and we had a second Age of Enlightenment that those people would realize what foolish pawns in this game they have been. I find the fact that its always "God Bless America" or "Support Our Troops" very appaling. If people stopped voting the same D vs. R every time and voted for what they truly thought was right AND actually understood what they were voting for they as well as we would be much better off. Most people fail at realizing who the enemy really is. The enemy is not the Muslims, Democrats, or Republicans, its OuRsElVeS. The enemy is the military. The enemy is our religion. The enemy is the corporations that run sweatshops. The enemy is our traditions. The enemy is our government. The enemy is our hormones. But most importantly the enemy is all of the rebels that have let this go on for so long. Where are the protesters? Where are the prophets? Why haven't we set an example by uniting ourselves? We hear of small protests from time to time but nothing changes. Nothing is acomplished. You can't try once and call it quits. One small try won't stop our government. We need to stick together, never back down, and show them we aren't just a bunch of teenage rebels with enraged hormones. Don't let constant propganda that "the troops are brave and saving lives" get to you. The Abu Ghraib prison was horrible but its been going on longer than that. Don't just wear a T-shirt but go tell people why. I love Anti-Flag and they are doing a LOT of good, but thier messages will go unheard if we don't preach them. Being a fan doesn't mean just enjoying/believing them but spreading thier word. They will only win if we let them. "Just because you're tied to the fence doesn't mean you can't bark at the cars." |

| West Side Story – Gee, Officer Krupke! Lyrics | 18 years ago |
| This is my favorite song out of the film and I think its pretty funny and yet holds some truth in the meaning. I think the acting of it in the movie is great too. | |
| Black Sabbath – Heaven And Hell Lyrics | 18 years ago |
|
I pondered on this song's meaning for a long time and suddenly the meaning became quite clear: People are going to tell you what’s right and wrong your whole life but the only way to know for sure is to experience life for yourself. As for the line: "you've got to bleed for the dancer" I only have a far-fetched idea. In the book "To Kill A Mocking Bird" its a sin to kill a mocking bird because they only do good for people. Now I could be way off but... maybe you've got to bleed for the dancer because all they do is bring joy for people (and NOT in the sick sort of way!). While I'm almost positive the top part is right and the bottom part is a bit more opinionated, its still just my opinion and you don't have to go along with it if you don't want to. So don't go and harrass me for comparing Black Sabbath to "To Kill A Mocking Bird". |

| I agree w/ TH3 J except I think its more based on our generation with the War On Iraq. Rise Against tends to focus more on current issues. | |

| Rumors Of My Demise Have Been Greatly EXaggerated... Woah thats a mouthful. Its got 15 syllables (excuse my spelling). Anyway, I think ownage really has the idea so I won't even try to top his. :p | |
| Van Halen – Mean Street Lyrics | 19 years ago |
| I think this song is about living in a rundown part of town where you have to fight to survive. It reminds me of the movie "The Outsiders", that is if anyone else here has ever heard of it. | |
| Blink-182 – Adam's Song Lyrics | 19 years ago |
| Most teens commit suicide because a single thing in there life has gone terribly wrong. And with every passing day, that one thing just gets worse and more noticed until it is blown out of proportion. I'm not a Blink 182 fan, (not because I think they are posers), but I really like this song and sad as it may be, this song describes a lot of people. | |
