| The Magic Numbers – Don't Give Up The Fight Lyrics | 18 years ago |
|
I think this song is about a girl who's supposedly perfect and seen to be better than the guy she likes, which is why nothing he does can be seen to turn her on, yet they're in love with each other. And she's telling him to patient and not give up on her, despite the fact he's lost patience with her, denoted by the fact she can't see anything in his eyes. I think it's also that people are starting to see she likes him. |

I dont' care whether this song is about a guy or a girl, it's just beautiful. My favourite song in the world, and has been since the moment I heard it. i have tried a thousand times to interpret this song, but it really depends on my mood. Sometimes I think it's about a relationshipthat isn't working and the singer isrealising their faults. b) this can describe the breakdown of a friendship and seeing all the faults they never did. and the friend is showing them their true feelings, and they're thrown by all the things that annoyed the other. c) life has become stagnant, and they're reflecting on moments. the last verse: You said, "I caught you 'cause I want you and one day I'll let you go" You try to give away a keeper, or keep me 'Cause you know you're just scared to lose And you say, "Stay." My interpretation of this is: this person has gotten into this relationship to show they could have them, and we're they're ready, they'll let them go, let the relationship go. the next bit about giving away a keeper means the singer is trying to get rid of the gf/bf, but they can't because that person is devoted to them until they decide it's over, and they're also saying you'll keep me because letting me go means you've stopped caring about me. that's all i can really make from it. I LOVE LISA. |

i can't believe no ones commenting on this song. it's one of the most beautiful. This describes the loss and isolation of watching others lives comes together, and instead the little traumas of your life make you scared to take any bigger chances, and suddenly you're all on your own. when ur heart is broken it feels exactly like all your life stops, but you keep on living, times moves on, and thats wat this song is trying to say. |

| Lisa Loeb – Let's Forget About It Lyrics | 19 years ago |
| i think the first verse may actually describe an abusive relationship, but how the abused take the opinion they were wrong. and she's realising what a creep he is | |
| Lisa Loeb – I Do Lyrics | 19 years ago |
| this song could also describe a friendship. U really just get over friends that drain you like that, just like a relationship too. | |
| Lisa Loeb – Furious Rose Lyrics | 19 years ago |
| i don't think this about a drugged up person at all, I think this is just someone lonely and looking for someone to show them how to be happy, but no one can see how lonely they are. | |

| Lisa Loeb – Days Were Different Lyrics | 19 years ago |
| this song reminds me of someone who is so over something, that left them broken and sad, and she doesn't want to ever revisit it. At the same time, it feels like time is in control, and she's bound to relive it. | |
| Lisa Loeb – Catch The Moon Lyrics | 19 years ago |
| while a child's song, for a child's album, this song for an adult still relates to moments of imagination, and dreams. Revisiting childhood feelings and realising you're still young at heart | |
| Lisa Loeb – Alone Lyrics | 19 years ago |
|
this song reminds me of the feelings a little child has dependent on a parent, and yet has transferred into an adult relationship. there's almost a feeling immaturity in the words, like this person is timid and afraid. You are the treasure custodian cleaning the moon for me Scouring the sky so the stars would shine bright Genius... isn't she? Those words are just beautiful. |

| Lisa Loeb – Bring Me Up Lyrics | 19 years ago |

I love the lines, We shared humidity, and orange roses, and poking fun at all our friends. It's the little common things, memories that make little sense to other people. we all have them in every relationship |

| James Blunt – Goodbye My Lover Lyrics | 19 years ago |

This song is gut wrenching, tear worthy stuff. My mum started crying while driving and we had to wait for her to pull herself together. this song simply says I loved you so deeply, with all my heart, and no matter where you are, where you go, it was better to have loved and lost, then never to have loved at all... as they say. |

| Arcade Fire – Cars and Telephones Lyrics | 19 years ago |

This song is my favourite Arcade Fire song, though Rebellion is pretty awesome. This song relates so perfectly to a situation in my own life, and that's what makes a song so perfect. It makes me cry whenever I hear it. This song doesn't have to just be about long distance relationships, as nursejen said. In my own experience, it was two people in two very distant emotional places. One who's in love, the other who isn't. The first verse, reminds me of someone who is watching someone they love, from the outside, looking for signs or clues that they might reciprocate those feelings. But they tell what you already know to be true, and there's no point searching or digging any deeper. The reading of her autobiography also reminds me of someone sneaking peeks at something private like their diary or journal so they have something concrete to process. When you lose someone u love, or you have unreciprocated feelings you feel so lost, like you don't know wat to say, what to do, ur beside yourself. This song represents that feeling so well. U need their support, their hand to hold. The hearing of their voice in your ear can make someone feel alone because they're almost close but u can't quite reach them. It's like being emotionally blocked out. the going to get the mail, and waiting for it, is symbolic of waiting for a change in your relationship, not necasseraily just for soem communication. the reference to losing all your friends could show ones own personal exile because their feelings are so intense. The use of the atlantic ocean seems to show how inreconcilable their feelings are. There's simply no way to bridge the gap between your emotions. You don't have the capability, as shown by the car, and not a boat or a plane... I'm in love with this song. it's the saddest thing... |
