Just so you people know, Kurt wasn't rich. There was some kind of legal crap or something with the record label and it turns out that he was only worth a little more than a million dollars when he died, so if Courtney did kill him, money wouldn't have been a motive. I just noticed for the first time Dave Grohls backup vocals in this song. It's pretty hard to hear with kurts vocal and the instuments but it's there. I think Nirvana could have been a much better band with stronger backup vocals from Grohl. |

It's definitely a deep song and it does grow on you. A very funky guitar and its pretty much a regular rhcp song, but with deeper meaning behind the words. Also, did anbody know that the backwards verse at the begining of the song is actually part of the chorus backwards. |

I'm sorry my statement was rude, in a way I was trying to pay tribute to Kurt, i was just angry at the time. I actually I am a big nirvana fan, it just angers me when people take excellent artists music as one hit wonders, or only listen to their overated, overplayed songs. I'm sorry I came on so strong. I also crave attention and pretty much only posted here because I knew I'd get replies. I'm very sorry to all of you people I insulted, I'm not usually like that. R.I.P. Kurt

Screw all 960 of you. I haven't had time to read all of your comments but I'm sure they're all along the lines of, "wow this song rocks" "Rip Kurt", well most of you are horibly mistaken. From what I've read Kurt was never a "Cool" guy, he was concidered a freak and he hated all the jocks and "cool" people who treated him like crap. Ironically this song became a smash hit for all of those people he hated. I bet that most of you people don't even own a Nirvana CD, you just heard this song on the radio. Kurt's music was he deepest experession and he hated his fan for treating it like "pop" music that will just be populer for a while. I don't mean to be rude about it but I just thought you people should listen to another damn Nrvana song, this is pretty much crap compared to his other music, it has absolutely no meaning. Kurt words are eternal to his true fans and thats just how he wanted it.
P.S. I'm looking forward to the next 1000 crappy post about how "kick ass" this song is. |

I don't belive in hell or any other of the catholic lies, I'm not even sure if I believe in god. The RHCP probably do have their own form of spirituality in which they do belive in a supreem being. We should really all be more like John Lennon was, just belive inl ove and peace because following a religion just for your own personal gain is selfish. If we spend we spend all of our time worring about where we go after we die, then we could very much miss life all together. If there is an afterlife, then that would be great but as of today I could care less, to tell the truth the idea of eternal life doesn't sound too appealing right now. If there is a god, I highly doubt that he will send anyone into eternal damnation or deny admitance in to heaven for non-belivers. If god really wants us to belive, then send more evidence than a book that was written by some guy "In The Name Of God". |

I think i got the meassage of this song right away and it pretty much applies to my philosopy. "Living is easy with eyes closed, misunderstanding all you see. It's getting hard to be someone but it all works out, it doesn't matter much to me. Let me take you down, 'cos I'm going to Strawberry Fields, Nothing is real, and nothing to get hungabout, Strawberry Fields forever." What I got out of that bit is that when you live your life the same way for a long enough time, big questions start to pop into your head, "Why am I here?" Why should I take another step?". Those are the questions that drive me and several other people crazy, and sometimes it is hard to be someone, meaning to going on acting normal when inside your going crazy. Sometimes i just want to lay low, stop existing and other times i want to through a fit out of sheer confusion. Maybe I'll understand more when I'm older but I dought it.
This song spoke to me and it is definitely my favorite Beatles song. |

I think this song could be about drugs too. I just found this out and i hope someone tries this. If you listen to Minor Thing backwards, you here Anthony saying what sounds like "I'm Thirsty" in the chorus and one part where he clearly says "This s*** makes me hot". |

Definitely, this music always makes me feel better, especially their crazy upbeat songs like Can't Stop and, well almost every other songs they right. The just put tons of energy into their music and that gets passed on to the listener, they're a true rockband. I really think that By The Way and Stadium Arcadium should get more publicity, so more people can experience the chili's new sound, it kicks ass! |
