| i think its time to find other artists. there are bands out there that have been working as long as korn and have still remained new and inventive. i personally think korn has not changed enough. i like the old stuff, it had more warmth and energy. the newer stuff is monotonous and i've heard about all i can handle of the "i'm misunderstood and i hate my parents" kind of lyrics. time to move on. | |

i agree with all of you. dredg is the most artistic band that i know of. i have been a fan for about five years and every new work they put out takes the listener on a journey. every album is a singular piece of work with plenty regard to theme and variance. bug eyes... this song is certainly a lament, but i do not think it is about a death of someone else. this song seems more introspective than that. in the promo live dvd for the latest album gavin and dino talk some about how this song is about conflict and the yin and yang of things. this is evident in the verses of the song. i think this is gavin assessing his life as an artist. he is looking back on his past (journey back to birth) and to his future (departure from earth). he is thinking about his time with the band and the struggles they have had. he fights with the feeling that his time has been wasted. dredg's time has certainly not been wasted. i hope more and more people can be inspired by what they create. |
