| Girls Aloud – Girls Allowed Lyrics | 16 years ago |
Noone said that GA was about great voices. GA is about 5 good looking girls and catchy beats. Good pop lyrics and distinctive dance moves like in songs like Biology and Something kinda ooh. I really like Girls Aloud, but I think the only one with a really impressive voice is Nadine. The other voices aren't outstanding although Nicola's is quite nice, but great vocals isn't really the point of GA. This song is typical of early Girls Aloud. Their sound has changed quite a bit now. |
| Girls Aloud – Can't Speak French Lyrics | 17 years ago |
| Its just a pop song, obvious meaning but still the girls look gorgeous in the video, and I love to look at them even though i'm not a serious fan of their music. | |
| Girls Aloud – Jump (For my Love) Lyrics | 17 years ago |
| I like the 80's version but I also like the GA version, the video shows GA's fashion back in their early days. They look quite different now. | |
| Girls Aloud – Something Kinda Ooh Lyrics | 17 years ago |
| Yeah the lyrics aren't deep or good but I still like listening to it | |
| Girls Aloud – The Loving Kind Lyrics | 17 years ago |
| not a great song but Cheryl and Nadine are well fit in the video | |
| Girls Aloud – Love Machine Lyrics | 17 years ago |
| I love Girls Aloud I know they're songs don't have too much deep meaning but they are still very listenable. I also like indie, some electronica even some rock/metal music but I also like a bit of pop, especially when girls like this sing it because they are well fit! | |
| Girls Aloud – Biology Lyrics | 17 years ago |
| great song I love it. I normally don't like manufactured pop music but yet I love Girls Aloud, so they are obviously doing something right. Yes they are well fit, but nonetheless this song is a very good pop song. Its got an innovative song structure, fun changes of pace and funny but impressive lyrics. I'm not sure of the meaning though but had to comment as I just listened to this song 3 times within the last hour on my ipod. | |
| Róisín Murphy – Primitive Lyrics | 17 years ago |
| I think its pretty clear that in this song Roisin doesn't care much for romance. 'Primitive' love for me | |
| Rage Against the Machine – Wake Up Lyrics | 18 years ago |
| Excellent song. I bought the Matriz soundtrack and I don't know why I haven't really got into RATM. Maybe I should even though they disbanded. The music and powerful angry vocals are great but what sets it apart is the history and the passion in the message. I believe the same stuff, any government that becomes too extreme whether on the left or the right will do anything to 'neutralise' potential troublemakers. I wish RATM were around now and make some powerful anti-Bush songs. | |
| Róisín Murphy – Sow Into You Lyrics | 18 years ago |
| Why no comments? This is a really cool Roisin song! I suppose its hard to espouse meaning. 'Naturalistic' metaphors rain, earth, 'Sow' into You don't really know what conclusions to draw. | |
| Róisín Murphy – Dear Diary Lyrics | 18 years ago |
Its a really good song one of the best on the album. I really like the use of organic sound making with kitchen appliances etc - Roisin admitted in interviews that the sounds were made like this. Meanings are fairly self explanatory. The woman in the song won't reveal her feelings to this man but she would write them in diary. |
| Róisín Murphy – Ramalama (Bang Bang) Lyrics | 18 years ago |
I love Roisin! Ramalamalamalamalamalamalama Bing Bang! I figured the press gang crash bang out myself. I think its means the craziness of fame and the flashing cameras. In the fame game if you're good you'll live forever but if you're bad and don't satisfy what it takes to be famous or remembered you'll die when you die. That's what I think she means by them. |
| Garbage – I Think I'm Paranoid Lyrics | 18 years ago |
| This is my favourite song from Garbage, I love the way Shirley sings 'manipulated' like a bit of a stalker but then she's begging in the chorus. Basically I can relate to this song although I am a guy but I do 'Think I'm Paranoid!' everyone's out to get me! | |
| Lacuna Coil – Our Truth Lyrics | 18 years ago |
| We push memories away that we don't want. We try to forget and we lie to ourselves to keep ourselves happy. We are creating 'our truth' through this process. | |
| Moloko – Pure Pleasure Seeker Lyrics | 18 years ago |
Awesome song I love it. I'm not sure about the meaning. Come make me whole. Body and soul, come make me whole ...BODY AND SOUL!! |
| Red Hot Chili Peppers – American Ghost Dance Lyrics | 18 years ago |
Its a classic one of RHCP's best songs! The lyrics are very meaningful and just telling the way it was. The white man came to america and killed off the native american tribes that stood in the way of 'progress'. If you like songs with a deep message then you might also like 'Power of Equality', 'Shallow Be Thy Game' and 'Californication' and they are all RHCP songs! It also helps that they are great tunes not just with great lyrics. |
| Goldfrapp – Deep Honey Lyrics | 18 years ago |
This is my favourite song on Black Cherry. I really love the whispering part! The lyrics are incomplete though. The last two verses should read: you don't like the dark moon is on the sky you don't like the stars shining down tears start sunday sun below below oh below you walked in the sunshine warmed you alive dark and you were loved |
| Lacuna Coil – Angel's Punishment Lyrics | 18 years ago |
The song would have been written around the time that terrorism was becoming a big issue post S11 i think. So much of the war on terror and all the many conflicts are based on 'lies'. Absolutely awesome song. Maybe the best on Comalies. Love Cristina's throaty wail. |
| Lacuna Coil – Fragments of Faith Lyrics | 18 years ago |
My favourite song on Karmacode. A song about life slipping away from you and you want to feel it but you are too lost |
| Lacuna Coil – Entwined Lyrics | 19 years ago |
| I'm a guy and I love girl singers! what's wrong with you? | |
| Lacuna Coil – Tight Rope Lyrics | 19 years ago |
| I'm an Evanesccence fan but I also quite like Lacuna Coil especially the Comalies album. I took this song as being more personal and not a statement on shallow celebrity types like everybody's fool even though i get why the connection would be made. | |
| Red Hot Chili Peppers – Easily Lyrics | 19 years ago |
Probably my favourite Red Hot Chili Peppers song of all time because of the meaning of the song and the great guitar solo among other reasons. The song is about the greed of materialism and useless waste of lives that war is and how it would be better to live in world based on living in harmony with one another and not valuing material possessions over people. Its like a new age spiritual concept that the shamans and people of eastern religions talk about, let's be part of the 'oneness'. We're all part of one big world and one enormous universe. Some people believe that when we die we re-join this oneness (that exists in a different dimension/vibration to this earthly one) which is god and we can re-incarnate to experience things as another ego to learn more and experience more but essentially we are not separate, we are all inter-connected. |
| Goldfrapp – All Night Operator (Part 1) Lyrics | 19 years ago |
Could be interpreted as Telephoning the afterlife? even though i'm sure its meant as metaphor but literally 'dialling in your sleep' - 'I'll connect you to the other side' makes me think of dreaming about or contacting the dead. Such a thing supposedly exists - 'Instrumental Trans Communication' |
| Red Hot Chili Peppers – One Big Mob Lyrics | 19 years ago |
| I'd like to think 'I am you are me' refers to the human race, and despite all our differences as individuals we are essentially 'One Big Mob'. Its like we all have human DNA! | |
| Red Hot Chili Peppers – Animal Bar Lyrics | 19 years ago |
I don't see why RHCP would be writing themes about religious things or prophecies like the 'rapture' or get on the ark as a believer. Why would the band that performed 'Shallow Be Thy Game' a song against religion and its way of controlling the masses be an advocate for the rapture? If anything there might be some new age spirituality themes. I've read some reviews about songs on Stadium Arcadium having 'shamanistic' qualities like they are some guru from india. Its probably safer just to except the Animal Bar in Australia meaning. |

| Goldfrapp – Twist Lyrics | 19 years ago |
I definately love this song. I love looking at my collection of Alison Goldfrapp pictures when 'listening' to this song. Alison stop making me so horny! |
| Evanescence – Imaginary (Fallen version) Lyrics | 19 years ago |
Imaginary is my equal favourite Evanescence song. I haven't really heard the old version but the Fallen version I know I love. I can identify with the feelings of 'built my own world to escape'. I want to take refuge in my sleeping and dreams when times are tough in my life but I keep coming back to my waking reality and going 'oh crap, I have to face it again'. Not that I'm in that mood all the time but I can really identify with the lyrics and of course the transitions between the chorus and the bridge, 'the goddess of imaginary light'. I really get shivers listening to the 'scary guitar chords'. Ironically I love this song but I don't believe there is such a thing as 'Imaginary' or that Imaginary is also reality. The only thing that is real is perception of the individual so that. But yes I do believe in the afterlife and I believe we also make our own afterlife experience based on our imagination. God to me is simply the loving force that binds the universe together. |

| Christina Aguilera – Dirrty (feat. Redman) Lyrics | 19 years ago |
Xtina will keep she isn't fazed about all the haters. I'm a guy and i don't think she's a slut. I love women like her who have such a big voice in a small body (something very sexy about it) 'I'm Here to Stay', 'Still Dirrty' the list goes on from Back to Basics. She gives all the haters a big FUCK YOU! P.S. But she says it with a little more class than that. Lol! |
| Christina Aguilera – Dirrty (feat. Redman) Lyrics | 19 years ago |
I always made me feel very horny. I'd get very pumped for this song before playing sport or going out because I wanna get dirrty. I like her new image better. Its still sexy but more mature and womanly. Her urban look had its perks but was too skanky and warrior like. She's more sophisticated now. But Dirrty is an awesome song one of my favourite up beat pop songs. Listen to the new album where she tells us through song that she's 'Still Dirrty' Xtina rules! |
| Goldfrapp – Utopia Lyrics | 19 years ago |
Whether intentional or not I take a spiritual view of the song. 'Live like me again and again' Sounds like I am an eternal soul that goes on for all time. 'I'm wired to the world' We are all wired to the world. We are part of the human race but we are also part of the planet as a whole. We are all interconnected and each affect eachother with our actions. Fascist Baby - While we should live in a Utopia, we live in a fake world because life has become too materialistic. Like we all have to dress and look a certain way instead of just being ourselves. They have meant it to be about genetic engineering but I see subliminal messages in there. Its odd that sometimes the song writers convey a message that they did not intend to but its very clear to me. The lyrics could be interpreted any number of ways but I know which one I like best. Regardless of all that I love the song. Its one of their very best. Alison is a goddess. |
| Moloko – Forever More Lyrics | 19 years ago |
| Trying to find one's happiness in life. Treasure the feelings of love but love is elusive to those who can't find a soulmate. Forever more the spirit which never dies. Love never dies. | |
| Goldfrapp – Koko Lyrics | 19 years ago |
This is one my favourite songs to listen to simply because it get hugely turned on by Alison's voice in it! schwiiiiiiiing |
| Goldfrapp – You Never Know Lyrics | 19 years ago |
I don't know why I love this song. I just do. The opening synths and strings and Alison's soft voice. Alison Goldfrapp and Will Gregory are great, but particuarly Alison. What an awesome woman, so talented, creative and sexy. |
| Goldfrapp – Slide In Lyrics | 19 years ago |
| A futuristic love ballad or sexual orgasmic tune | |
| Goldfrapp – Lovely 2 C U Lyrics | 19 years ago |
mmm. I believe the last four lines of the song shed light on part of the meaning of the song. |
| Goldfrapp – Koko Lyrics | 19 years ago |
I don't know what the song means, but I love the lyrics and the song style. I wish someone could shed light on the songs meaning? Its mainly Alison's voice and the electronica / retro glam rock thing that attracts to me to Goldfrapp's music. |
| Goldfrapp – Time Out From The World Lyrics | 19 years ago |
Beautiful song I love the atmosphere created by the song. Really is 'supernatural' like in your in a world of spirit or something. Except you don't have to die first to get there! |
| Red Hot Chili Peppers – Shallow Be Thy Game Lyrics | 19 years ago |
I believe in the spiritualist views of the afterlife because I believe that the abilities of psychics and mediums are genuine. It took me alot of convincing but I have been convinced. Spiritualism is not an organised religion as such although it is recognised as a religion in many countries, there is alot more freedom of how you practise it, which appeals to be alot more than Christianity. This is a great song. Spiritualists also believe in a loving god and don't believe that god judges you alone. They believe that you judge yourself by the actions and deeds you perform in this life and you will be rewarded for the good deeds but will also have to learn lessons, some may be harsh in the afterlife. But the spiritualists I've talked to there is no such thing as 'eternal damnation' as this was a translation error in the Bible. Essentially they believe that a soul's path is one of enlightenment and in our current existence we must do everything we can to strive towards this path. |
| Sophie Ellis-Bextor – Leave The Others Alone Lyrics | 19 years ago |
I think that lyrically speaking this is one of the superbly talented and gorgeous Sophie's best songs. I'm a bit iffy about the meanings but I thought about the 'sitting down at 10,000 feet' part when I went on a plane recently. lol. |
| The Black Eyed Peas – Dum Diddly Lyrics | 19 years ago |
One of my all time BEP faves! doesn't mean much, but a cool vibe. |
