As for starters, I am not a fan of this band but some of there song are exeptionaly good in my opinion, this for example. I can't confim this but i think it's quite reliable. my friend is a big fan of H.P. Lovecraft, the writher of The Call of Cthulhu. this friend of mine said that the lyrics are taken almost straight from one of the novel of Lovecraft. That could be what Ville was talking about this cult or myth or something.. as for those you don't know about cthulhu mythos books, there is a fictional religion where people pray for "The great Old Ones" demigods of monstrous forms. horror filled books i suggest you people look out if you like to read. And for the guys saying this song is about devil or satan or whatever and against the word of "god" (no i'm not an atheist, I am an pagan) i don't think it's about that, for all i know yes the band name stands for His Infernal Majesty... So fucking what? and for all I know about this, i heard the band shortened it to him just 'coz they did not want there band to be thinked as a devilworship band. I don't think most of the band and artists of the world really think about god or satan making theese lyrics... but well i ques you can allway relate anything to god or satan and lots of other bullshit. Here is a great example: Heaven ablaze in our eyes We're standing still in time The blood on our hands is the wine We offer as sacrifice They wake up in the morning in a huge hangover so sun hurts their eyes,. their head hurts so bad and they want to throw up and it just doesn't seem to stop (the standing in time). the blood is really blood the have had a rough drinking evening and the sacrifice thing is that they accept its loss for having a good night out. Sounds like shit? Well to me, relating everything to god and satan is jsut as interesting as stiking your own head in to a bucket and trying to lik your shoulder. Have fun ^^ |

lets take one thing at time. usualy dimmu borgir is a black metal band but this song is totaly idustrial metal. next about lyrics quite good. misantrophia by all it means to us. human race isthe only one that destroys everything and devours all around itself. misantrophia is about hating man kind as a whole and thats what these lyrics are all about... |

this song for what i think tells about something like religion or something that proves to be useless... "No solace will be found" "Compassion will fail" "The absence of reality, reason and logic Prove failure of faith" "Enriched by the presence of it's clarity Darkness descends, everyone dies" ...and is wiped away and is replaced with something new. "A new beginning, the inevitable dawn" thios somekind of new religion is something where people only get justice when it's propriate or something like that if I understand right. now people.... stop thatfuckin "you are stupid cause you like this song" i like this song very much too... tho i klisten dimmus other song and i dont thik this is the most best song ever or something like that but that does not change the fact that i think this song is really good... anyways... i think this songs lyrics are very much like how facist see the world... "Remove errors of man and sweep all the weakening kind" naziz remove people that are not one of particular race or have some physical or mental disorder... and yes that is hitlers voice back there from what i have heard in war documents... but see that this song does not talk of anything good for mankind.... this song is talks about cleansing the human filth... we are the filth that universe does not want to exist and it will cleanse the world from us thats what it says i think.... somehow it also has this chaos in it too....
