..... this song is so sad... makes tears fall from my eyes every time i listen this...... something so sad and dramatic about it..... very good song tho ^^
But what is this song about? The treacherous nature of authorities (god), that even destroys it's most devoted followers? Would be a fitting picture: Even the angels get tortured and than abandoned by their own god?
I think its something about betrayal... this person or what ever is suffering... and it's been abondoned and betrayed... mayby angel.. betrayed by god.... still it's something so sad and touching.. makes me cry stil :')
Slit the throat,and taste the cream. That almost scares me. Well, this song definitely sounds like an angel. Maybe the angel is just a metaphor for a very very very devoted acolyte or something the like. And she suffers so much and well,God doesn't help.
this song is rather sad, and if you've herd the piano version, it sounds even sadder, love it though, the whole album is great
I agree with all of you. I personally think it's about a devoted follower of God, but their prayers remain unanswered, so they feel abandoned and betrayed by God, because he's simply let them suffer.

This is the kind of song that's encouraging to non-believers... Anyway, if we say that it's about a devoted follower who feels betrayed, then I'd say it's probably someone who has done something wrong, without realizing it.. that's how it is in most cases, but I could be wrong

Apart from the fact that it's a woman they sing about, the song makes me think about Jesus on the cross...

I think this song is not about an angel at all, I think it's to do with someone in a very relgious community and she was respected and (hence calling her a saint, angel, and having wings)she lifes a relativly an unhappy life but kept on dreaming for things to go right. she then either sinned(possibly adultry) or lost her faith in christ though im thinking more she sinned("a polaroid of shame" polaroid being a picture so shes feeling ashamed of her self and also "a dying picture of lies" shes lied about what she did) They all found out about what she did and now they are simply punishing her "her last little weak why" after all the good she has done she is questioning why she is being punished for 1 mistake. "the bloody end of a dream" All her dream are gone "termination bliss" the end of her blissful dreaming.
