I managed to track down Jeff performing this one at the public wake/performance held for Tim Buckley- holy crap, was it amazing. It's just crazy to think that he had never really sang before he performed at the wake, and the audience was in complete shocked silence. One of my favorite moments. |

This is quite simply my favorite song ever. When I host my show on the college station I play a Jeff Buckley song every week, and this one is usually the most popular one. This song and Hallelujah are among the 5 most beautiful songs I've ever heard. |

I love the change from the tougher-sounding first and second stanzas to the third, which feels more vulnerable and makes the song that much more poignant. It's Sara that sings the last verse, isn't it? |
