i disagree with ic6md, i don't think alcohol has anything to do with it. It sounds more to me like he's being attacked by someone while he's alone and unable to stand up to them. I think it's about knowing when you're beaten and when to back out and 'crawl away' |

yeah this should be under santana... i haven't heard the alex band version but i've heard the one with chad. it bugged me for ages cos i loved the song and recognised his voice but i couldn't find it on any of the albums cos i didn't realise at first it was santana! :P

yeah it is a bit off in spots, so is do this anymore.
i think this song is great, it sounds like chad having a bit of a go at himself and celebrities in general, especially the line 'we'll all stay skinny cause we just won't eat'. It's great to see he has a sense of humour and can laugh at himself |

lol, there's a fine line between unrequited love and stalking sometimes. i'm not sure which one i think it is in this song. I think i'd lean more towards stalking though cos it's obvious no matter how he feels she doesn't want him around! i love the bit

my god, this is fucking hilarious! all these people back in 2002 (and even today!) bitching about how crap nickelback are! one hit wonders?! what the fuck? They released their 6TH album last year and they're touring again this year. They're rich, they're famous, chad has featured in a few other songs with some great bands, how does that make them one hit wonders?
and twisted elegance, yes some of them sound similar but you've obviously never listened to more than 3 songs. How can you judge them without hearing them? They have a wide variety of songs, try comparing 'Should've listened' with 'Flat on the Floor', they're on the same album and they sound nothing alike... and they've changed heaps from their first albums. I haven't heard Hesher but i've heard all the others and they've made some big changes. Their new album is so different.
If you don't like nickelback then good for you, i don't care. But if you have nothing to add apart from how 'shitty' they are then get the fuck out of this thread. I for one will be laughing at your stupidity when i'm having an awesome time at their concert in a few months |
