all i can say this is the most awesome song, i've never felt such a presence as when they played this (seen them live twice) the crowd singing along and you know every person in that room relates to that song, i've never had that feeling like that since that concert, its just undescribable sharing a mutual feeling of comfort and knowledge.
this song can mean anything you want to, its tailored to everyone because everyone has had that one person who has been their ecstacy sending them so high just so you can fall right back down. its just funny how love can hurt you so much, as you wait, as you crave, as you are confused and the truth is twisted so many times you're not sure if its even there anymore, but you know its all worth it for that one moment of serenity, that one moment when everything is perfect between you and another person, faster the chase represents to me what love is all about, its not meant to be comfortable its meant to take you on the ride of your life... |

. i haven't actually listened to this song in awhile, it came on kerrang and i was shocked cos it isnt the shitty ozzy and kelly version no offence. its like the one of the greatest break up songs ever just cos its so simple, everyone can relate to the feelings in this song, this song just makes me v. sentimental about my past, i don't think it can just apply necessarily to break ups but to any changes in life, any loss. to finish tis most awesome song ever, least there are more comments on this one rather than the other shitty version, love laura xoxo |

the paper cup represents the fake, cheap side to the relationship and of course the champagne is the love. this song just demonstrates how the relationship is falling apart. hmm i've just started listening to the raconteurs today, a really good band i must say, i can see jack white in a totally different light. anyways back to the song since this is songmeanings.net, not i love you so much, you rule.net if you get what i mean. i believe this song is about a man in a relationship and feels like he should take the next step into married life and settle down into a stable life instead of the uncertainity of singledom.
