"I can't eat and I can't breathe " I THINK THAT LINE SUMES UP HOW EVERONE FEELS WHEN THEY LOSE SOMEONE. I KNOW THATS HOW I FELT AFTER SOMEONE LEFT.
I think this is about being in love with somone, like a good friend, who doesn't love you back. "Well It's hard to explain..." That might be about when you tell them, and you could cry because they don't love you back. "This doesnt change..." This is about how no matter how the one you love feels, you love them anyways, and nothing could change that. Your heart is broken, as they don't love you back. The chorus, I think it's like that it' so tough going through this, that they find it hard to do everyday things. And 'I wouldn't want it any other way', because if your friends you will be more likely to be together forever. "Intentions that were pure..." That might be that this pain your going through is changing you, and instead of just living through the day happily, maybe you want to cut yourself or soemthing...(NOT GOOD CHILDREN!) "My heart burns..." You've told them how you feel, and it breaks your heart how they don't love you back. The "I'm taking you home" part is about how you are taking them home after your confession, and how you are having trouble imagining that they don't love you back.
