I loooove this song. It really is about finding that person that understands you, and how nice it is to just be able to be yourself for once. |

This is a nearly perfect breakup song. My only complaint is that the French is so terribly annunciated. I didn't know it was French until I read the booklet. I thought she was singing 'Shut the f^@k up dude, or die.' Which still amuses me to no end.... |

This song can still make me cry. I completely agree that the line 'the light changes when you're in the room' is a killer. And yes, this will be played at my wedding. I think, quite simply, this is the best love song of all time. |

Ok, I love this song, but I can't take it seriously anymore. One night, after far too much sugar and caffiene, my band and I were all in the car, and on the chorus, we all started doing the weirdest dance. So now, whenever I listen to it, I have to do the funky dance. I think Zac would approve =p |

This song 1.makes me dance, and 2.makes me think of a Romeo and Juliet kind of love. Like at first he's describing this totally awesome, Mary-Sueish kind of girl, and then the rest of the song, persuading her to be with him, like being with him is a 'wild' thing to do. That was totally the longest run-on sentence ever. Sorry. |

Sex? Whatever. Penny and Me is about sex. This song is totally about trudging through the blah times. And possibly 'passing notes' through song lyrics. IMO |

I think maybe this is about all the fakeness of the lives they lead. There's definitely the REAL people, and then there's the persona they present to the public. Maybe they're tired of living that lie. Maybe they want to believe that there's more out there, or maybe that there's someone to see through the lie. |

This song, to me, is about those relationships that you have to get away from, and the fresh hurt of it. "I'm not falling in love I'm just falling to pieces"... that time where you question yourself and whether or not you can trust your own feelings.
My favorite line...
"I'd cheat destiny just to be near you" |

Each verse says something different to me. The first makes me think of a friend who's guy has just abandoned her, and she needs help recovering. It makes me think of asking a friend to accompany you to an abortion clinic or shrink's office.
The second verse makes me think of those guys you meet in college that drink and drink because they don't want to face their futures. Not the frat boys, but those really intelligent guys that are miserable because they overthink everything. Wanting to hold him, he's so beautiful when he smiles... it's like you want to be with him, make him feel better, but you know he'd only a make a mess of your life.
And the third verse rings so true for anyone who writes songs... these words are my diary screaming out loud... sooo true.
The bridge just breaks my heart, "just as far in as you'll ever be out"... it suffieciently supplies that hopeless feeling you get when you're stuck in the middle of something.
This is such a beautiful song. I love it. |

I just can't believe it's about faith in god. This song seems to go hand in hand with 'Broken Angel', about watching someone you've built up, put on a pedestal, falter and fall from grace. |

I actually don't think it's entirely about Kate. The first verse definitely is... but the second doesn't quite fit... "Tucked away inside wake me when you come"... I think it's about that 'dream girl'. Especially when you pair it with the chorus "Nothing ever goes the right way... hearts will bind you" I think this song is about love the one your with, because that perfect someone may not exist. |

I've felt this way about a boy before. :) It is an incredible feeling. Even when you see the first letter in his name, or hear his name on tv or in a movie, your thoughts jump to him and you can't help but smile. I think this song is about giving into that feeling and rejoicing in the fact that you're in love with some one. |

I agree with LullaBelle834 - I really love this song. I think it's about having this girl that means everything to you, but she's not real, and you have to find someone else to make it through the day to day. Kinda sad when you think about it, as this song is really about loss. |

I think this song is more about being the only person to believe in something - an idea, a goal, a person. I think this is the struggle people in a depressed state go through - "There has to be someone else out there that feels the way I do" kinda thing. |

Zac said in one interview that it was about Taylor. He then took that comment back, but it stuck with me. Taylor went through a lot of crap in his life at the same time - marriage, leaving one label and starting his own, a baby, and a new record. That's a hell of a lot of stress for someone who was under 20 at the time. |

I really love this song a lot. I think it's about someone who's been broken mentally and physically warning someone else about what lies ahead. |
