| Stars – Toxic Holiday Lyrics | 20 years ago |

this is one of the worst songs on the album. it just seems like they tried too hard to seem witty and simple while trying to be catchy. its just a waste because this song has no meaning. "i love you, you love me...lets keep having our holidays." |

everytime i hear this song, i get this feeling like im walking on the streets of manhattan in the middle of the night, and i'm watching the people still walking about as if it was still day, going about thier business. yeah, i get how u can think of a london metro...stars are such a lullaby. this song is the 1st song i ever heard by them, and i really love it. |

| Jimmy Eat World – The World You Love Lyrics | 20 years ago |

jew is one of those bands that u can interpret anyway, because thier lyrics are so open. to me this song is about my world and fears. im looking for a nice way to say "i'm out." i want out. those are the ideal lines that describe me right now. i honostly can't handle all the things i get myself into. and since i have a HUGE issue with commitment, they are the lines i think about all the time. we're only just as happy as everyone else seems to be that. is so true. |

| Jack Johnson – Breakdown Lyrics | 20 years ago |

every song can be about a relationship, i just hope that one day, people will understand a widescape of lyrics to finally be able to stop referring everything to a damned break-up gone sad. grr. pretty much, jack is says the same thing in most of songs. if you all haven't noticed, he's a very nature- driven man. he says things from his heart, he doesn't try to create something that isn't there. all of his songs are simple and precise while eloquent just the same. he wants to be free and happy and he wants to be able to appreciate whats around him. in one way or another, he says that/intends that. ps. doesnt anyone thing beaches and mj when they hear his songs? |

| Panic! at the Disco – Lying Is the Most Fun a Girl Can Have Without Taking Her Clothes Off Lyrics | 20 years ago |
|
i think the "testosterone boys and harlequin girls" line is pretty much making fun of teenagers that bop along to them. has anyone ever noticed how Panic! has this way of adding fans and scene- ness [?] in all of thier songs? i'm not saying i dont like them though. ever since i saw them live, their music is just not the same. i ca still hear the cheering when this song was about to play :] panic! has good stage presence. |

| The Bravery – Tyrant Lyrics | 20 years ago |
|
miss ruby gloom, did u ever think that you were too "alternative" and jaded to understand the song? sad part is, you're kind of right. a lot of bands these days are about image, but wtf else r they going to be like when they're stuck between really famous and just known. people shouldn't forget that this is thier living and not just thier passion. after saying that, i think the bravery is more original than the crap "punk pop" being spit out now. besides, this song is...nice. :] |
