For me, this song is a great pick-me-up when you're feeling lonely or down think the song is saying that there are hard times and situations people have to go through but having an optimistic viewpoint and staying positive will keep you on top of things- that way you'll be on the right track in no time. Spearhead is definitely underrated. This is a brilliant song with a catchy tune to it. The song is definitely saying that when you're in a rough patch in life, you need to remember that you need to have some time for yourself too, (or enjoying music, as it's presented here). So I think the "music" can be literally music, or just some time for yourself. Great song, I only wish more people would find out about Spearhead. |

In my opinion, I hate it when people refer to tracks as "fillers," it simply shows how they don't appreciate certain music. I LOVE this song, probably even more than Wonderwall. This song isn't completely underappreciated, and probably skipped by many of those playing the CD. Sad.... such a beautiful song. |

I actually believe that this song is about knowing something that you aren't supposed to know about a person you are really close with and it hits you real bad and brings you down for a quite a while. For me, this song is talking about letting go and moving on from a past relationship. The best part of the song in my opinion is... "and if you don't let go it's gonna pass you by" I base this comment off that phrase. I believe that this person can't get their mind off the past and isn't willing to move on, but if the fact cannot be accepted that it's over, then many opportunities for new people are lost. |

Applying this song to people and now, I believe this song is about a "standby" kind of phase in ones life, where a choice has to be made but cannot due to lack of courage or fear of embarassment- could be the choice of a special someone or something of that manner. Then... "I'm no stranger to this place Where real life and dreams colide and even though I fall from grace I will keep the dream alive" I think that section is talking about making the choice and putting it into action and not succeeded, but "even though I fall from grace, I will keep the dream alive..." |

"Taste it time and time again, it’s time to take your medicine" "Too much prozac in our systems" I agree 100% about the doctors statement above, that's what I thought when I first heard this song too. Doctors nowadays don't care about their patients, just doing it for the money- they just diagnose their patients with something to feel unnaturally optimistic. |

I don't know about anyone else... but I think it's talking about an addiction of some sort, whatever it is- cigarattes, drugs, alcohol, but it makes perfect sense to put a girl in as the person who should "call him." I think the thing that should "call him" is this addiction he's trying to get over, but just can't. So he'd like to get by with more of the addiction. |

When I first heard this song, I thought of a slowly weaking relationship between a long and commited relationship where one thing has gone wrong and now everything is going wrong. "Shattered from the start" means to me how now everything is messing up and becoming worse, and he's thinking to himself like, why he couldn't have known this would have happened from the start anyway. "Are you there? I don't feel you anymore..." basically means how things have changed, and somehow their strong bond between one another has broken loose, and the things they used to do that was so meaningful and only between them two has no significane at all now. |
