Btw, I'm a huge JD fan as well, and I actually like Interpol better. The only reason why I was drawn to Interpol was because of the similarities to JD. It's nice to listen to music that I like... again. RIP IAN. |

This may be a reach, but I think he's remembering a previous love (perhap a recent break-up). He's hurt and he's just trying to get on with his daily tasks, maybe his office-job. Also, he's trying to tell himself to move on, and to forget about love and get his mind off things.
The bluebird reference reminds him of this girl, maybe because its graceful and beautiful. One day they might fall in love again, but for now, he needs to force himself to think love "isn't sacred." |

Great song! I'm glad to see someone took the time to write down the lyrics for a Rosebud song. I think this song is simply about overcomming adversity. Maybe its about the band themselves; touring and trying to make it in the music industry. |
