Great song, this whole album is very relatable. My take on this song is based on my own experience. I was "under the spell" of this girl so to speak. She was the type that buys into all of the current social trends only not to an extreme extent. In the beginning it seemed like she held all of the cards. She was always the "popular girl" in my mind, years went by and we both grew up, me more than her. After being through enough and realizing she would never quite see things the way I did our roles become reversed in my eyes, I began to realize my individuality and difference from the rest of mainstream society is a gift rather than a curse. Its that glorious moment that is captured perfectly through the lines "You were my crutch, now I've escaped your clutch, so how is that worm's eye view? I have grown two broad wings and now I'm above you" To me Max Bemis will always be the 1st Max Bemis rather than the next Bob Dylan but with that being said its hard not to say Max isnt a Modern Day Dylan |

I think when he says bomb the world it's not literal, I think it's supposed to be an inspriational song, kinda saying even when things are the worst not to give up and keep going and I think when he says bomb the world it means more like making it succesful in the world, "bombing the world with greatness" if you will. |

Such a great song. I think jenny isn't 1 girl but represents alot of different ones. I just think its about how adam will get fucked over in a relationship and use it as material to write songs and get rich. "I took full advantage of being taken full advantage of" thats what that means I think, and when he says eventually it took the place of love he is saying how he's been doing this so long that he cant even maintain a relationship kinda like he subconsiously wants shit to go bad so he'll have material. I could be wrong though anyone else have any takes on what its about? |

I think its about pop singers how they come out with music just for money and there is no real talent or thought into theyre songs how they just slap anything together and get money out of it and how its an insult to good bands that put alot of thought and meaning into theyre lyrics and make music that isnt just another pop trend that will fade out. |

This song is about the poverty in 3rd world countries. Waffles represent food, money, clothing and shelter. and the line where he says and i think thats bullshit is stating that he thinks its sad that there are starving people in the world. Belgium just represents 3rd world countries that are poor. Its also about John Nolan. haha just messin around but seriously this doesnt even classify as a song to me. |
