| Amy Millan – Losin' You Lyrics | 19 years ago |
| This just reminds me of how I feel whenever I lose touch with friends or people I'm interested in. It's honest and sad, but really sweet in the way she sings it. I love her voice, haha. | |
| Utada Hikaru – Devil Inside Lyrics | 19 years ago |
| I was listening to this song in the car and my mom stopped it and played the intro again, saying that it sounded familiar. She seems to think the background (minus the drums and right before the synthesizer comes in) is from the cave in the Zelda game on the regular Nintendo. What do you guys think? | |
| Sebadoh – Think (Let Tomorrow Bee) Lyrics | 19 years ago |
| This song is powerful in such a quiet way. Lou Barlow has to be my favorite male singer ever (next to Beck, of course). I love this song too much. | |
| Camera Obscura – Shine Like a New Pin Lyrics | 19 years ago |
| i love this song. plain and simple. the lyrics are perfect, as is the whole of it. | |
| Camera Obscura – Suspended from Class Lyrics | 19 years ago |
|
i've never thought about it before, but i think you're right, rea_. "he wants to kiss, he says he can't resist; you're gonna have to keep it hidden inside" totally agree with you now. (: still a seemingly innocent and beautiful song though. |

| Holly McNarland – Water Lyrics | 19 years ago |
| Maybe it has something to do with the "Lady in the Lake" sort of thing. I don't know, but it probably has a deeper meaning than that. That's all I can think of though. Great song still. (: | |
| Holly McNarland – Mr Five Minutes Lyrics | 19 years ago |
| This song is really obvious in its meaning, but I love it a lot. I don't know why, but the guitar playing and her voice in the beginning is so haunting, then when it goes into the sort of echoey bridge, it just sends chills down my spine. I love this song sooooo much. | |
| Pain (USA) – Midgets With Guns Lyrics | 19 years ago |
| I don't know why, but I've always thought that the "midgets with guns that we have one our tongues" had something to do with those things that you say without thinking first. Bad ideas that you didn't think through enough, and that end up hurting other people. | |
| Sebadoh – Skull Lyrics | 19 years ago |
|
It is "with a mellow voice and a strong, strong heart" and I always thought he said, "a charm in the way you cry" but that could be wrong of me. Anyway, I love this song. He has got to have one of the coolest singing voices in the world. The lyrics are perfect. " |

| Azure Ray – Rise Lyrics | 19 years ago |
| So gorgeous. One of my all-time favorites. I can hear it thirty times in a row and still want more. | |
| Azure Ray – Sleep Lyrics | 19 years ago |
|
I remember that the first song I heard by them was "Displaced", and it made me not like them too much . . . so, after awhile, a friend suggested I listen to "Sleep" and I did. I've totally loved Azure Ray ever since. Even if I still don't like "Displaced" too much. This song, as well as its beauty and all of that, is so pure in its . . . sadness. Another cry-worthy song, I think. Great to listen to if you want to feel that bitter sort of relief. I love it. |
|
| Azure Ray – Fever Lyrics | 19 years ago |
|
It's "fever, I know your face just like a dove" & "in god I shouldn't trust". This song is really really soft and light, but so meaningful. Pretty obvious what it's about though, I guess. Either that, or it leaves lots of room for interpretation. I love it though. |

| Maria Taylor – Light House Lyrics | 19 years ago |
| It kind of just reminds me of that blissful sort of hopelessness I feel during the summertime. Just kind of . . . overthinking things, then coming to find that I was going in the wrong direction, or I was simply dwelling on the unimportant. | |
| Maria Taylor – Leap Year Lyrics | 19 years ago |
|
the first stanza is :: "Save my money, for that plane ride horn of plenty, heavy sunlight Autumn's bounty, bread and red wine In a hurry, but there's so much time" I'm almost positive about that too. The chorus that tiki_12 posted is the correct one as well. (: This is my most favorite song ever. It is really really gorgeous, and the first time I listened to it, I cried. It just reminds me of being seperated from someone for too long, and not knowing where to begin, but just knowing that you have to see them again. I don't know. It's just beautiful. (: |

| Freezepop – Here Comes a Special Boy Lyrics | 20 years ago |
| Haha, sorry. I'm not much into the webcomic scene. * feels insanely stupid * | |
| Beck – Ramshackle Lyrics | 20 years ago |
|
A lot of artists use that method ( the extra song after minutes of silence on the last track of an album ) they're called bonus tracks. It's pretty cool though. Beck always has the weirdest one. I think that this song is about homelessness, as well as hopelessness and the other feelings you all have associated with it. I read somewhere that it is about homeless people though. It makes a lot of sense to me . . . |

| Freezepop – Here Comes a Special Boy Lyrics | 20 years ago |
| I didn't really think about it too hard at first, but I was listening to this song in the car with my older brother, and he thought it was about drugs. It does seem likely, if you think about it. "Hugs"? I mean, its innocence may be insanely appealing, but I still can't help but think that he may be right . . . Phillipe just might be their fun-loving drug dealer. | |
