I always thought this song was written because after he stopped doing drugs, he was kind of telling his fans "Hey, I did drugs, and maybe it wasn't the best choice, but I made it through, and ya know, I'm not dead." And I always thought it was "undernieth the wheels like the skys of Aracog." But, yi know, it makes much more sense the correct way. xDDD |

I really love this song. I love to listen to it when my little heart is all broken and bleeding... Especially, I like the video. It's cool. And my favorite part is when Billy just picks up that little kid and starts walking away with him. It's funny. Or near the beginning when there's that guy in the trench coat, walking down the street with the balloon. That's kinda...cute? I don't know the world. This song kinda makes me think about just being really sad, but you still get up and keep going. Even prehaps you've contemplated suicide, but have decided against it. Somehow, after something like that, you feel like everything is...prettier? You appreciate simple things, like your friends, the sun setting and rising, going back home to the one's you love every night, etc. To me it's about holding on and going on. About finding solace in the little things. |

I just love this song. It has it's own meaning for me. To me it's about being in love with someone, and it didn't work out. Maybe they died; prehaps at your own hands, or someone you thought you knew, but ended up being a killer. They last time they saw them, they 'disarmed' them 'with a smile', and as the lid on the coffin is shut, they smile the same smile. ...it's sort of like a story to me, I guess. It just makes me think of the love of my life, because it didn't work out at all, I was so depressed...even contemplated suicide... I want this song played at my funeral. |

Man. As always with SP, I had these lyrics all messed up. xD I thought it was "Forgotten as we are, but we just know we're home" and "morphine city, slip in, induced, to see" and "street heats the urgency of now" And it makes more sense to me the way I thought it was. O_O Anyways, I don't think this song is really about what people think it is. I think it's about one of the biggest questions in life; where we will end up when we die. And possibly about good friends who you don't want to care about this stuff when you're with them, you just want to have fun. LoL So, I guess it is kind of about being a bored teenager, but it's a little more then that. |

I disagree with keshaxe and tentnant, I think 'you're an exception to the rule' is saying that the girl is different from other girls he's met, and that's what he likes about her. I feel that this song is prehaps a tinge more dark then you may oringinally think. 'is everything a baited hook, and are there locks on all doors' Is saying that relationships have had a tendancy to work out for the worst for him, and those that we love do not always love us back. 'you're all I ever wanted, Southern Girl, could you want me' He feels like this girl is the perfect girl for him, everything he's dreamed and waited for, maybe even an old aquintance, and he's horribley worried she does not feel the same way. I just love this song, because it reminds me so much of my relationship with this girl (well, before I told her I liked her and knew she was straight which sucked. ;_;) just the wondering if I could have a chance with her, adoring her completely, thinking about failed relationships in my past and hoping it was the one that would finally work out. Is this song ultimately about heart-break? I don't know, as always, only the author truly now. But anyone can tell the basic meaning of the song... |

I believe Marilyn Manson is consitintly making fun of himself, society, and rock music. However, most people seem to think he's promoting this 'sex and violence' life style that is the essence of rock, so it sells well. And if that's all you want to think of it, then very well. But I prefer to think that he thinks of himself as above the rest; being 'obscene' while showing others how ridiculous it is to be so, sort of as thouh he's above the loop. I feel like this is a song I could have written for my Katy. I love her so deeply, like no one else. She is a goddess to me. And yet no matter how much I adore her, no matter how much I dream and wait and want, no matter the many things I would do for her, including take my own life, she will never be mine. "a pure soul and beautiful you don't understand don't fear me now i will breath for the both of us" She is perfect to me, and no could surpass her beauty. But she thinks I'm not old enough to really love some one, that I couldn't possibly love her. She doesn't think she's good enough to be loved. But still, I would go to any lengths for her. But don't all songs you love feel like the words were taken right out of the back or your mind? I feel like Billy wrote this song about a girl (or boy, definitly no judging here) who he loved for a long time, who he felt was perfect, and prefect for him, and he told them , but they didn't quite understand. And then soon after they died. So they would never be together, and he wishes he could have died in his/her place. But it could be taken many different ways. I also could see it as the girl/guy simply doesn't feel that way, and it's like the end of the world to him. "Travel the world, traverse the world, your home is here within my heart". No one else coud belongs to him, and they could belong to no one else but him, in his mind. It could also possibly be about an obsessive, possibly stalker-ish, relationship. Once again; only the author could truly know what it means. This is my favorite song in the world, because it has so many hidden little meanings about love. |

This is such a good song. I feel like it really speaks to me; my ex bf use to abuse me one day, then the next day he had total adoration for me. It was so messed up. I eventually just broke up with him, because I couldn't stand the inconsistency of it. So I think it's a song about a relationship like that. However, only the songwriter can ever truly know what a song is about. This I know, because my brother seems to think one of my songs is about me cutting, when it's truly about feeling depressed about a loved one who drinks and does other destructive activities. Anyways, someone mentioned they didn't know what 'Ava' ment. I do believe it's Latin for something. My? The one? Something like that. Or maybe it's a girl's name. I don't know. When I get older and marry Billy, I'll let you know what he says... |
