I love, love, love this song. But I cant help but flinch during this part... "With your arms outstretched to me " Jenny is an amzing singer, but she kind of screeched on the "me" part of this line. Has anyone else recognized this? I wonder why they'd keep that. Don't get me wrong though, the song is still AMAZING, and so is Jenny. |

ahaah..as of now I have commented on every army of me song there is to comment on. I think your 100% right. There is no need for me to explain any further. It's been too long since I've seen these guys play. They'll be recording their new album- so I don't know if they'll be playing at any local DC venues anytime soon. I sure hope they do though. |

mooossst deeff. my favorite song from fake ugly. According to my ipod, I have lsitened to this song 78 times. yeah..I know. As for the lyrics, they're nothing too deep- but it's still a great song with very well put words. It's a song about Vince (or any guy) captivating and alluring a girl. The lyrics are so sweet and very charming. Such a great melody as well. |

Isn't it.. 'We're living with you million dollar smile' rather than.. 'Hit me with your million dollar smile?' I'm pretty sure it is, listen tot he song closely, and you'll hear it. Ahh I love this song. I think every band has got to have at least one song about fakeness. Fake Ugly- man did it take alot of thinking to get to what that means. "Oh my friend, I'd like to smash you in your face. Cause it's more real when there is something out of place." Although there may be bumps on your nose, and other flaws on your face..it's better that way. It's more real and it's what makes you, you. "The water's shallow it's a puddle on the floor. We all know that those who get plastic surgery and wear 5 pounds of make up everyday are shallow. I think the song is pretty self explanatory. It can be perceived in many different ways, but it's probably a song dedicated to a girl that rejected him once.. and he is now trying to show her the improvements he has made in himself.. a la 'going through changes' Baby I couldn’t see, but at least it was loud, but At least it was loud. Now those are some memorable lyrics. I love that quote, I have no idea why- I just love it. |

I'm pretty sure this song is about 9/11 and having to cope with all the fears and tears that went along with it- ecspecially in the areas closest to NY..like DC where they (and I) are from. Breath in once for me It's my right to be free. Will the fear stop growing Tears stop flowing? I couldn't agree anymore. Although 9/11 was a horrible event, we need to be brave and just breathe, and take a break from all the tears. Ahh man, words can't even explain how much I love this band |

Man I love this song. I'm surprised to see other people on this site that like army of me. WOOT! Im actually kinda bummed to be honest, that they are moving to columbia records. I'll miss my little indie DC band. I just hope they dont become the next fall out boy- they're too good for that. As for the song lyrics I agree with you. I listen to this song at least once a day. These people are amazing. |
