Gravity Lyrics
Then they came along in their giant truck
And they knocked you, they knocked you down
You should have seen yourself lying there, all broken
Woah, gravity, it got you good
I walked away pretending not to know you
And I hoped that you were still out cold
And I thought of the time you said I was your favorite
And that I looked like just like a holiday
Woah, gravity
Oh, gravity
Oh, gravity
Oh, gravity
I was younger then, barely in high school
When you found me, you took me in
And then one day, you put me on the highway
You said that gravity was going to do me in
Woah, gravity
Oh, gravity
Oh, gravity
Oh, gravity
Oh, gravity
Oh, gravity
And they knocked you, they knocked you down
You should have seen yourself lying there, all broken
Woah, gravity, it got you good
And I hoped that you were still out cold
And I thought of the time you said I was your favorite
And that I looked like just like a holiday
Oh, gravity
Oh, gravity
Oh, gravity
When you found me, you took me in
And then one day, you put me on the highway
You said that gravity was going to do me in
Oh, gravity
Oh, gravity
Oh, gravity
Oh, gravity
Oh, gravity

A good song! I don't know why no one has posted. A sort of country western style going on here for rilo kiley...i'm not sure but i like it :)
This has some great yodelling!
I don't really know what this song means. I think "gravity" is a reminder of the real world. It's just the realization of what really is happening.
this songs really country. i love love love it.
i see "gravity" to be like karma. what goes around, comes around.
This is definatley the most country I've ever heard Rilo Kiley sound.
I think that the guy in the song is a pimp and Jenny is a teenage runaway who becomes a hooker. The pimp treats her badly and finally he gets hit by a truck and she is finally free. its about karma.
huh. niiiice thinking wires and waves, i dont think jenny was ever a prostitue, but its certainly a neat way to think of the song.
i love thsis ong but sometiems when im listening to it i just cant take her yodeling. its a bit much for me. but in the right mood, i love this song.
i realllly love the twangyness of this song.
didnt like it at first hearing, this is catchy. i enjoy it so much more now.
I agree. I think gravity is karma. Or the harsh consequences of your actions.
