The first thing that came to mind when I read the lyrics was the book "A Million Little Pieces" by James Frey. it's about James Frey recovering from a decade of drug addiction. In the rehabilitation center, he is given a workbook by his counselor, and he reminisces about razzle dazzle rose being his favorite color when he was a child.
Not sure if the song is directly related, but there are a lot of similarities. |

He sang it for his wife in St Paul at the September 16th concert. I hate to brag, but I was there, and there's photo proof on the internet she was there. After the show she was also signing autographs. It was an adorable moment, watching him sing that. XD |
