They got the words wrong, it's definately "The Queen is just a pawn with a bunch of fancy moves" I know this for a fact, I was at Warped tour and Disashi was teaching that part of the song to on of the guys thats touring with them |

slickchc92, I agree with you, I think its not only about cocaine, but the dark side of the music industry, how it can become a drug, leave you on a high for awhile, then bring you down to despair, I love the metaphors |

| Youth Group – Why Don't The Buildings Cry? Lyrics
| 19 years ago

I think it goes deeper than just the perils of cigarette use...its about how someone who is dealing with loss views the world and other people...how ungrateful they are for life....either eating or smoking their lives away...they don't understand how the world can go on with people treating life so flippantly |

U think that the band is worried that the maturity they have on FUCT as opposed to TTYG might make them sellouts...and I love the line "Gotta sunset in my veins"...and "the best part of believe is the lie" sounds like a good tatoo |

I love how he incorporates artists into the lyrics...and the line "Tell the kids to keep coloring outside the lines until they lose their limitations and ther minds are free" is amazing |

I love the line "I took the sorrow from the windchimes
Left happiness lonesome and strung up sarcasm to make the melody wholesome" its actually a really beautiful line |

I really don't think its about church...its about scene kids...and their hypocrisy....and the singers that feed into them...seen in the lines about the bleeding hearts and wrists...saying that they bitch about broken hearts...but don't act on any of their emo/scene promises... |

| Motion City Soundtrack – The Future Freaks Me Out Lyrics

I think its about how they hate their generation, and wishes they could be a part of another one...and the part about carving question marks deals with how since he can't understand her, it depresses him, and he begins to cut himself |

"Your the metaphors I can't create to comprehend this curse that I call love" ....I cried when I heard that line, its so beautiful. Initially, when I saw the video, I couldn't stand the song, then I actaully listened to it, its a BEATIFUL song. |

It's a definite poke at the "the scene" (rock) but still goes with the wedding theme...beginning with Lying is....gaod their titles are ridiculously long...I think most on FBR label have sprawling titles....FOB is notorious...and Gym Class heroe's titles can get lengthy...but whatever |

| Janis Ian – At Seventeen Lyrics

I heard it when I was eight on an informercial too....freaky...but I only heard the first sentence...so when I wanted to download it when I turned seventeen....I instantly fell in love with the words...its so true...those who peak at seventeen have to pay for it in the end.
their small-town eyes will gape at you
in dull surprise when payment due
exceeds accounts received at seventeen
This song really made me feel better...thanks Janis wherever you are...
That sounded so lame...but very necessary... |

I think the song isn't about a girl...but the fans...how we're so exilirating...but we only like them until they become "meaningless"...and also about the backlash on becoming more popular in the second verse...like the old fans calling a war on them "selling out" ...it also talks about how they are other bands who deserve the fame too...but people just don't know about them |

The demo version has the words..."we will own your thoughts...we'll own the songs stuck in your head....we'll leave you kicking and screaming so you can thank us in the end" much better I think...but a little too warped for the masses. |

I think the song is about how she isn't perfect...and doesn't want the perfect man either....but someone else...like her ex thinks that's hes still best for her...I just love how comfortable she is about being a heartbreaker...and being with the wrong guy...kinda like me.... |

I'm sorry to disrespect the original in any way...but I listened to it after I heard how "good" it was according to you all...but I have to say that it was the worse thing I ever heard in my life...Patrick did the world a great deed when he did the cover to this song...This is my FAVORITE fall out boy song...and I don't care how much you people gripe about it...so there...oh and I think the song is about love or something... |

| Fall Out Boy – Get Busy Living or Get Busy Dying (Do Your Part to Save the Scene and Stop Going to Shows) Lyrics
| 20 years ago
|
|
I think it is a satire of the emo revolution, because when Patrick says "Tell me you like boys like me better" it sounds so overly dramatic...its hilarious...and they do mention being tired of writing songs like this in Hand of God when they say "I'm sick of writing songs for you to slit your wrists to" and Cherysse....not all of us Fall Out Boy fans are Hot Topic's saving grace at revenue time...I actually amm an avid Juelez Santana and Lil Wayne fan and walking down the street you would never associate me with a deep passion for Fall Out Boy...but I understand your opinion and totally repect it...and its not like I just started listening to them after they infiltrated TRL....but yeah...back to what I'm supposed to be doing..that line with "If you are the shores I am the waves begging for big moons" is a parady of praying for a big hit song to hit the "scene" whatever that is |
