I love this song..And yer she is really desperate in this song but it's the kind of desperate where it's like you've hit rock bottom and basically there is no way you can have this guy.There is just absolotly nothing you can do and you don't know how it could have him,you can't..but you love him more then life itself and you just want him to love you. It makes me think though like the lyrics in this song explain something that's just happened with me and the guy I love and well basically it wasn't aloud..That won't make sense to anyone probably but just create an imaginary siduation in your head that's not aloud."I beg for just one more tomorrow where you hold me down; fold me in deep, deep, deep in the heart of your sins"...Sounds like he wasn't supposed to be doing something either,like he just used her from the beginning and she knew he was but she could pretend he wasn't because he was pretending he was.I don't know just a thought.. but anyways I think the ending has the best lines "now you need me..Now you don't." |

| This is basically my favourite song on the album..Me and my bestfriend listen to it turned up loudest it can go through my ipod and we scream "I KNOW YOU FUCKED HIM AGAIN!"..It makes me pretty sad tho cause I know what it's like to be messed around and you know what the person is really doing but all you want is them...It's good tho to have sumone relate to is so mucht hat they write a song about it..A sense of comfort. | |

| This reminds me of the guy I love..We were good friends and he loved this girl that's been his best friend for years and everytime he got hurt by her he'd come crying to me and saying that no1 loved him and eveything in his life was shit and he was going to kill himself and I'd tell him it would all be okay again soon and he'd be like "no it's not going to be the same again,everyone hates me"..Yet he knew that I thought the world of him. | Yeh I agree with sea of faces..Songs can mean many different things and I think Maynard writes them that way aswell.To me it feels like the song is about a girl who's falling into depression and maybe he writes this song after she attempts to kill herself or gets heavily into drugs or something and hes saying "I knew it was there,I knew you were hurting but it was easier when I just ignored it and assured myself everything was alright" some of it sounds like hes putting himself down alot and blames himself but yeh because of my experiences around this topic it's the first thign that came to mind | |

Okay well APC is my favourite band and I couldn't begin to describe what every song especially trhis song means to me.And let me just say that I don't think there is only 1 true meaning to apc songs maynard often writes about songs and they have a few manings to them so I don't think anyone is really write or wrong cause we aren't him..And there will always be some hidden meaning meaning that only he will no aswell.But anyhu.. I think so many ppl have commented on what this song means and I don't think mine will be much different so I don't really need to add but just this one line..my favourite lyrics out of every song out there. "Here i am expecting just a little bit too much from the wounded." - These lyrics mean so much more to me than any words can start to describe....Wanting something from someone i.e. love, when they cant even give it to themselves because thewy've been hurt before and never recoverd.Something like that. Can't get enough of this song.. |

I love this song..I don't no exactly what the song is about tho but I'm thinking that there's a girl who's relying on this guy to keep her happy and alive n although he wants to be there for her she's pulling him down so he has to let her go coz she's destroying him.
