Manic Street Preachers – Sorrow 16 Lyrics 20 years ago
Since no one else has said anything, I love this song, if only for the lines "Your vanity kills people, paint your ego in blood". Sums up a huge amount of Western image culture to me... How far people will go to improve their appearance, usually at the expense of others. Of course, I partake in it as much as most other people.

Manic Street Preachers – Of Walking Abortion Lyrics 20 years ago
I agree with Richeye, the song isn't about inferiorety of men, and is somewhat in mockery of Solanas, by blamining everyone, instead of just men. My basis for that belief is the deridation of the term "whores", since male prostitution is much rarer and they are not generally referred to by that phrase in any case.

I've also on occasion thought that the closing lines might be directly at Salonas, as well as to everyone in general.

Manic Street Preachers – She Is Suffering Lyrics 20 years ago
I've always felt this song, and the "desire" theme a thin veil for a straight up infatuation of Richey's for someone who wasn't interested.

Manic Street Preachers – Yes Lyrics 20 years ago
Just a little footnote from the start of the topic, the quotes at the start and end of the song are from an american documentary that was called "Pimps and their Ho's" if I remember correctly.

They were spoken by the pimps, trying to make a sale to a bugged journalist.

Manic Street Preachers – Faster Lyrics 20 years ago
The rest of the band certainly took it as in 'more quickly', judging by the music written for it. I'd never considered it as "one who fasts" before, but it would make sense.
Perhaps the two are in a way synonymous... I know when I feel terrible (as I expect someone who is starving themselves would feel) my senses are numbed and much of the world in motion seems overbearing and somehow 'faster'

Manic Street Preachers – Archives of Pain Lyrics 20 years ago
Well, wireless,

1. Not sure, but I'd guess that was part of her rehabillitation program.

2. I found them in the "persons" section of the site www.manics.nl - very comprehensive list.

James Pickles was a contraversial judge, who once said a date rape victim had "asked for it"

Eugine Terre'blanche is a white extremist in South Africa

I also found Ueda from earlier, who was indeed a Japanese serial killer, killing 5 people between '92 and '93, he was convicted in '98.

3. there's the school of thought that the last time around Milosevic is replaced my "Manic Street Preachers"... I've also heard "Let's keep in touch" proposed, either would work.
