I love this song. It's one of those songs where I love it so much I don't care what it means, or what it's trying to say. The lyrics are just beautiful. Great song to drive to as well! Turn it up to full volume. open up the windows and just put your foot down One problem.... Living TV are using it to promote the second series of Grays Anatomy, and it's starting to wear thin, it's losing it's special sheen. Cut it out Living!!!!!!!!!! |

I'm not sure I agree with comment that the ENTIRE song is about sex, more about the fact that the church uses religion as scare tactics as a form of control. She makes references to people going off to church and saying their prayers like zombies, but not actually taking note of what they're doing or saying. Almost like they go to church, say their prayers etc because that's all they've ever known to do, they've never questioned it before. Why? Because the church says "do this, or you will go to hell", and that's the way it's been ever since Christianity was invented. I think this song is about the death of a loved one. Not necessarily a guy's girlfriend, just anyone, there's no signs in the song it's about a relationship, it just sounds as though it's the death of a woman. It could be someone's mother, sister, friend, pet!!! The lyrics to this song helped one of my friends through a very traumatic death in her family. |

I have nothing against artists doing cover versions of songs. This song comes nowhere close to the original, of course, but at least she made it her own, which is more than I can say of alot of artists out there. I hate nothing more than people who do cover versions but don't actaully change it at all. If you going to copy something, make it your own! So although the original is still the best, I top my hat to Miss Silvas for trying! |

I'm not really sure what this song is all about. It's one of those songs that anyone can relate to, no matter what their situation. It reminds me of one of my own situations that's for sure. I fell really hard for a guy I used to work with. We got on really well, spent loads of time together and made it pretty clear that we liked each other more than friends. For various different reasons, he said he wasn't in a position to be in a relationship with me, because he didn't want to hurt me. But we still continued to see each other. And sleep together. When I finally realised that no matter how much time we spent together, we would never be a couple, I told him I couldn't see him anymore, I had to say goodbye. So I did. And now we only see each other every few months. Everytime I do see him, he tells me how much he misses me and how I'm going to make someone very happy one day, I'd be the perfect girlfriend, but I know he still has issues he needs to resolve and I'd end up getting hurt. It would be really easy for me to agree and pretend everything was fantastic, but I know it wouldn't be. Previously, I have given in, we ended up sleeping together, but since then I've told him it's not happening again, because it brings up old feeling and old pains that I don't want to deal with all over again. "I want you but I'm not giving in this time" This song is fantastic. |
