the thing about punk is that there are good underground punk movements but i think this song is actually about how the music industry "markets" music scenes like "metalhead" and "punk". i think there are progressive metal bands though and Jello himself has collaborated with max cavalera of soulfly. and not everybodies parents are conformists, my father is not a conformist at all. this song also incourages the idea of anarchist revolutionary movements. Join one like Food Not Bombs. The dead Kennedys music is about common sense and morality. we need to free ourselves from corporate control, and the green party needs to Nominate Jello for president '08 instead of nader. so go join for food not bombs and support local anarchist movements, don't let greedy corporations control your mind. that is the message of most Dead Kennedies songs, music scenes aint real life, its time for another summer of love, and Jello Biafra should speak. 2009 San Francisco. |

two things. one this song is not written like any other in flames song, secondly about the vocals, anders does the lead but if you listen in the background you can hear the female voice, ohh yeah and thirdly, asn american country artist im not sure which one stole the violin lines. now that those are said, i think this is a song about someone who anders had a close relationship with and it didnt work, could be his his parents or a girlfriend. anyway he wants to forgive this person and make everything better. |
