this is an awesome song. in a world where people are often too ignorant to take the time to get to know a person or the general population is too consumed in their own lives -- this song helps me to see that even though we are surrounded by negativity there is so much postivity out there. how many people would hold a random stranger's hand? out out of a hundred. but the thing is even though the 99 exist, that one is out there. &that's what makes life beautiful, in a nutshell. finding those rare people. my favorite: "But if the world could remain within a frame like a painting on a wall then i think we'd see the beauty then And stand staring in awe At our still lives posed like a bowl of oranges like a story told by the fault lines and the soul" i would be in awe if i could stare at the world from a far. life is beautiful. end of story. |

i can't believe only one person commented on this song. the lyrics are well written. the harmonizing is perfected. &the melody is great. if they played this song on the radio, it would definitely become an instant hit. incredibly catchy. but that's beside the point. the overasked question: "where did we go wrong?" this song basically puts together all those insecure emotions that any person feels in relationships. the imagery is great as well. "questioning purity" "dragged white sheets through the dirt " i could go on &on. well done, guys. |

^yes, scotty &i have discussed this song. not only is it beautiful, but it's easy to relate to. in such a simplistic way, this song succeeds at describing relationships, interactions, connections... "it burns a hole through everyone that feels it" oh boy, of course it does. "rather waste some time with you" mmm. but the best line of all: "&you never would have thought in the end how amazing it feels just to live again" after years of feeling impotent, completely worthless and incomplete... when love finds a way to you, maybe not even love, when some source of meaning finds a way to you, you realize what life is all about. you not only begin to exist. you begin to live. &thats what so beautiful about this song. it serves as a reminder-- just to let things happen. patience is key. enjoy life, because even though life has those hard times, the good times make life what it is. |
