Well I thought it was about a war of some kind and the whole 'I'm alive I'm dead I'm the stranger Killing an arab' I thought meant that in war you can be alive one second and dead the next and he's a stranger in this country killing an...arab. And 'I can turn and walk away Or I can fire the gun Staring at the sky Staring at the sun Whichever I choose It amounts to the same Absolutely nothing' I believe means that even if he chose to not kill people it wouldn't matter because the death and destruction of war would still carry on and his one decision wouldn't make any difference to that matter. But that's just my thought so I could be wrong |
